Hi everybody at the match thread and those who might check in on it as the week ensuuuuuuuuuuuues!

This weekend's match will be the manyth iteration of our special Swampies/Roys FattyLumpkin round. Here at the Roys we'll be watching for the poster from the Swampies who posts in the best spirit of the respected past player FattyLumpkin who spent time at each club.

Here's a blurb pulled from previous instances of this event, posted by TDC in yonks gone by:

(originally posted by TedDougChris):
"A pioneer of the SFA, Fatty played 182 games over 12 seasons with the Roys and was a member of the S4 premiership team. Fatty captained the Roys, led it's goalkicking and was an all round champion Roy. He swapped the Maroon and Gorilla for the Swampies where he also won All-SFA selection in S9. He swapped back to the Roys, and eventually retired in Season 16. Fatty was a staple player for the Roys, prolific, humourous and easy to befriend.

Some of the older players in the league will know the name, although he may be a mystery and an enigma to many of the newer arrivals.

And while the stats don't tell the whole story, Captains of the Roys and the Swamprats, both past and present - remember Fatty as a true gentleman of the game, who embraced and sculptured the essence of the SFA.

Vale FattyLumpkin. Very friendly bloke both on and off the fantasy footy field. A champion Roy from the golden era, and a major building block of the Roys history. And A Swampie who burned bright in his short time for the Rats.

He is missed and will continue to be missed.

In an era when too many clubs play the man and only care about tearing people down, we ask all who play in the game this week to participate in the spirit of fun, friendship and fair play that is Fatty Lumpkin's legacy.

At the end of the week, each club will award their own version of the FattyLumpkin medal to the opposition player who best represents the qualities of the great man !!

So banter hard and banter responsibly - because just acting like a dick, isn't actually banter at all..."

Praying isn't going to save you this week. You're no longer on my international dog day card list.
He IS praying to me tho, so there is that ...

I believe the 7th of Mobbs commandments states thou shalt not withhold international dog cards from the creator of the OP in match threads.

It's a very thorough list.

I'm going to need that confirmed. In writing. On a stone slab.

Aristotle Pickett - 100 Roys FFC Games!

As we head into the sixth round of the thirty-eighth season of Sweet's premiers qooty league (that's the Sweet FA), we will also be celebrating Aristotle Pickett racking up the ton wearing the Baggy 'Rilla !

(afk 2 secs while I gather crap from SweetFA+ and pretend I just know it through my infused relationship with all the players on the team I captain ... ok done)

"The Stotle" as he is more rightly or wrongly called commenced his career at the BJO in Season 31, v the Hawks. He had a mild debut but his his straps the following round when notching a couple of goals against the Demons. AP (another thing he's sometimes called) continued to find the goals scoring his sixth major by Round 5, before finally adding his first behind the round after.

His first 4-goal haul came the following season, the goals kept flowing, yet he never quite tumbled over the 100 DT mark in any game of those first two seasons - 3 x 94DT, 2 x 91 and even 1 @ 99 v Wonders in the last H&A of S32.

After we were bundled out of the finals in a PF v the Dragons that season, Aristotle Pickett decided we were underperforming and departed to the fertile grounds of Gumbania the following season. The Roys went on the be premiers that season tho he doesn't commonly bring that up in pub chat!

After a season with the blue-and-bluers, The Stotle returned to his old stomping ground at the BJO and continued to find the goals on and off, including a 5-fer in the opening round of last season v the Warriors.

I'd like to say he's yet to score a goal in the current season, but its funnier to focus on how he still hasn't managed 100 Dreamteam points in any match he's yet played in! But this Sunday will be his 100th game at the Roys, which makes me, as captain, rub my chin a little. Should I give him the opportunity to break that seal*????

Congratulations Aristotle Pickett!, 100 Roys games - 118 overall in the Sweet FA, 75 goals 50 behinds in his full career and exactly 1500 disposals (all of which stats I of course knew by heart and didn't just look up).

He's been a staple of the team sheet (when not suspended, lol), and always up and about for a couple of posts to ask ... even after all this time ... what the hell this game is all about!

PS: Btw he didn't have any 100DT games during his 18 matches with the Gumbies either. Just wanted to point that out!

* No seals were harmed during the writing of this testament.
