Melbourne or Sydney, doesn’t matter, Gardner will get beaten either way. He’s become a liability sadly.

Dizzy is a worry but I think it's at least partially a confidence thing. Those Dinky half kicks in the back line that get intercepted / smothered are a real issue and confidence/momentum killer. So I think he is better off roosting those kicks.

Otherwise I think he did well in the 1 on 1s with Dusty and minimised his influence which was SO important (allowed us to maintain our structure of Starc on Bolton and Dev on Prestia/Cotchin)

He definitely should not be trying any sort of nuanced kick... he was good on Dusty but to be fair Dusty was nowhere near his best coming off such a long lay off.

Prior was horrible last night Robbo didn’t offer much either other then giving away silly free kicks . Also wilmont showed far more then what answorth has all year . Rayner for Robinson , wilmont stays over answorth , Ah chee or Robertson over prior.

Prior made mistakes but he has the tank and ability to cover ground. Better foot skills as well in general, but pressure did get to him yesterday. Hope we don't drop him.
He was horrible last night fumbling the ball everytime he got near it or missing targets .

dizzy showed he can take the play on reasonably well not so long ago against carlton, was stepping through traffic and hitting up difficult targets. think its a confidence thing with him but whether that can be rectified before next week im unsure
I’m not sure if it’s confidence or just bad decision making. The worst part about the one last night is that it was a 8m handball, even if the kick came off perfectly it still would’ve put us under pressure.

Guy kicks goal in final 5 minutes = "match winner"

Mate, he was thrown unexpectedly into a ruck role. He kicked 3 goals including the match winner. He also crashed a pack (nearly got knocked out) that led to Charlie getting a goal out the back.

He had a few mistakes and frustrating moments but to cover Oscar, kick 3 and win us the game… and to have you here pushing this endless agenda, is just beyond laughable.

Continue to hold Joe accountable, that’s your right on the forum, but times like these just completely shatter any credibility your ongoing vendetta has.

How good was Dev........Matho seemed quiet. McStay was brilliant and half arsed all at once. Payne......Good! Wilmot very promising.
Robbo looked like he struggled. Rich, quiet. His Kicking has gone off a bit. Cal didn't look 100 percent to me. Zorks was OK(i think) tho he didn't seem that damaging.

I'm not going to sleep
I wouldn't say Matho was quiet, but he was in and under and very influential on occasions getting the ball out at critical moments. I thought Rhy's game was very workmanlike and disciplined and am proud that he got to play in and win a final - definitely reward for all his effort.

Would like to keep it simple. Equally I think Dev and Wilmot are absolutely worth keeping in. If we want Lyons in, it has to be for Matho. Answerth is a tricky one as the one I'd personally drop is Rich but that isn't happening. May go Answerth for Wilmot.

I am assuming this game will be Friday night, is it announced straight after the game tonight?

Planning on going down for it, will we have trouble getting tickets if it is at the SCG?

Participating club members do get priority access don't they?
It will be next Friday night, confirmed on one of the post footy programs- otherwise the teams playing tomorrow wouldn't get a 7 day break.

Yep, did not have a good game. Either ball didn't sit for him or he was making mistakes during disposal. 2nd half looked better. He'll be better for it though, Prior has skills/traits/tank which we won't get from playing a Mitch or Lyons instead. We need to persist with him.

EDIT: I hope Fagan backs him in. He's been backing so many others when they had down games. Prior adds 2 way running which is pretty limited in our first 22, hope he keeps the place.

I don't want Answerth during this finals series if Wilmot is fit and available. Wilmot brings dash and appears to be more adventurous rebounding from backline. Answerth is a different version of Gardiner, he won't solve our problems against the top teams.
