Davey, Silva, Watts (no one that counts) - I think all three are required. But bugger all in your eyes.

Frawley has one year to go but as you no contracts mean nothing - if he wants out its most likely he will go

Morton had one year to go he is at West Coast while we pay most of his contract. We have people that have one year to go and sometime you may extend those contracts (in your eye we will do when they expire)

If the players don't like the way we are going they will put on hold to see what's going on and if there is a better option will run.

Rivers is a good example Dees wanted to keep him and there was no chance he wanted to stay.

We could have offered him more money but like all pay rises its like a nicotine patch .. feels great when you first put on but wears off pretty quick (if you don't like where you are)

Davey - Won't go anywhere, won't get a contract anywhere.
Sylvia - Gone.
Watts - Will re-sign.
Frawley - Contracted.

Next.

So you are 100% sure Frawley will be at the club next year? What are you willing to put on it.

How many players this year have extended contracts?

$1 million bucks. He's a required player unlike Cale, why would we release him and pay his dues????

This year about 6 I believe, will dig up the numbers after I finish my SC bye planning.

Its ok .. lunch time over .. Cheers for the discussion .. my only hope is that we improve ..

Same mate. I know your just frustrated. But Frawley aint going anywhere next year...

There's bugger all coming out of contract this year. As for the rest of the comment, that's what it was directed at.
Watts, Davey, Sylvia are coming out of contract. As are WebJet/Opel/Hertz and whoever else.

Not to mention players like Frawley going out of contract at the end of next season, and probably leaving this year with the threat of free agency.

To these players, 'staying the course' (especially if they, quite reasonably, don't believe in the clubs direction) isn't attractive and they want to be treated well (Watts) and win games of football.

From what I've heard, he certainly is. Not going to name from who I heard it from, but this was last year so hopefully something has changed.

And what becomes of his contract? He's just going to tear it up? He is contracted. He is required. He will play at the dee's next year.

Covered the others in a previous post.

The sponsors are the sponsors, a different matter, but changing the coach mid-season will not help us.

You said he's going nowhere next season.

If he wants to leave, not much we can really do.

Next season is 2014. He is contracted for 2014. He will play for us in 2014. Beyond that is up to him, yes.

With the recent push for no FA compensation, we might have to trade him this season.

I would take Prestia and GC's first round pick, but St Kilda/GWS supporting pricks who want to give us rubbish youngsters and second rounders can G&GF.

We won't. Roll the dice on us being better in 2014 and worth playing on with!

Tired of rolling the dice. Looking forward to Melbourne hiring an experienced coach, with a clear plan, who actually commands a bit of respect and has their own house in order.

All good if that happens. If Demonland and rabid supporters oust this coach mid-season whilst there are no alternatives (Clarko could be free at years end) and we take an inexperienced coach I will burn the place down!#@!@##!%@#$

His results and lack of accountability will be what ousts him mate, that's just the way it is.

So sack him now and hunt for a new senior coach? Or wait until the end of the year?

In my opinion, sack him after the next 10 goal+ loss.

It's just not acceptable to be tolerant of losses like that anymore.

And then what? Who is caretaker? (Viney can not do it, too busy in recruiting)

Viney's not recruiting anymore mate, Jason Taylor does that now.

I might, but I'm not really sure. Maybe Craig too.

So they're not part of the problem in our coaching? Just Neeld? This is my problem with the whole thing.

We've changed everything at the club, still in the same spot. I don't think it's Neeld's fault myself. I think (and hope) that we will start to see the improvement we're hoping for in the second half of this year.

If Neeld goes soon i reckon it will be Craig .

Same question to you, So they're not part of the problem in our coaching? Just Neeld? This is my problem with the whole thing.
