if you have any official position at sky can you tell us did sky pay players this season and will they be paying players next season and will money be available to recruit a few key position players
I am on the committee, no players were paid in 2009
We did pay a couple of players in the first season but that didnt work out so it was a decision that we will not pay anyone until the club is totally and utterly financially sound. currently the club is in a great position off and on the field
as for will we pay next year, that is a senior coaching and a executive committee decision, and going by what going places just posted, id say that we will not be paying in 2010
which is fair enough, we have got an awesome group of youngsters coming through, as shown by there top 2 finish in the first season of colts football

I am the senior coach and I got payed and our Assistant coach got payed, if he was at certain other Div 3 clubs he probably would have got that money for 2 games. I thought your brother would have told you that. Your club shelled out money didnt they to finish going out in the Prelim ( if I have the right bloke) If the right people come along sure you would look at rewarding them in some way. I think it is the only way you can survive as you go up the grades but 1st & foremost we will be concerntrating on our youth as suggested previously. Too many people think that they are worth money when clearly they are not. Plenty of clubs in Div 3 pay money and still finish down the ladder.

Sky need to add around 11 players to win around 9 games next year.
With the squad of 2009 they would be lucky to win 6 games
QUESTION
would paying these RIGHT PEOPLE create angst among the loyal players who have served your club for the last 5 years.
some reports from other clubs with colts suggested you were a small running side with very lightly built young men except for maybe your ruckman and full forward would this be accurate.
also will your full forward play again next year ===myself i think he will be the only way you win games==.
and last but not least if i am who you think i am what you and your club achieved this year i only hope you can achieve half as much next year.

I believe players are smart enough to realise that the team needs to improve every year, especially when stepping up a grade??
The colts finished top 2, whether they are small or not, they are cleary pretty good players would you not agree??
cannot agree or disagree have not seen this side play .so you are saying we will pay some players and the others if they dont like bad luck.

Having spoken to a few Frankston Bomber players I hear a certain player left them when he was on good money after cracking it and went to Skye and was being paid !
