Can't fit 30 blokes on a park mate
a) Dingley would of had a ton of players come down from seniors
b) The bloke got dropped from res. footy.... Can't of been the most important player.
c) The guy who was brought in obviously qualified for finals.
d) If from this he doesn't select the best available team he would be a moron.

Please for the sake of football never coach football Mahalo.
P.S love your work iFace 2.0, keep it up.:D

Nah mate, i wouldnt be any good at coaching because i would probably play the blokes who had put in all year and got us to the finals. What a dill!.

Obviously the short man has got the right idea, look where he is now!!!

Who ever plays Springy this week has struck some luck, Number 12 copped 2 weeks and Number 1, 6 weeks for their gutless act in the practice match.

6 weeks each would have been more appropriate but at least it is something.

Looks like we're not gonna agree on this one :p My point is if you don't select your best 22 in finals (i.e you haven't debated that the bloke who came in wasn't as good as your mate) your doing a disservice as coach to the other 21 blokes and the club.

Moving on very excited for round 1! Wouldn't mind seeing how Springy and Hampton teams look on Friday night but very interested to see the results from Highett and Oakleigh - Match of the round for sure.

There could be a second player in trouble as well because after the first thug had done major damage to the 19 yo kid the 2nd dog came in and landed a couple of fierce upper cuts.

The farce continued... A Dingley player, finally, came in to lend support and grabbed the Springy thug by the arms to stop him hitting the kid. The umpire finally decided to look behind play at that moment and awarded Springy a free kick for holding the man. This was while our player was being helped to his feet and the trainers were trying to hold his face together.

This was the most disgraceful thing that i have ever seen on a footy field and i hope Dingley do man up and take this as far as they can. Our player was taken by ambulance from a "practice match" and spent the night in hospital.

That's really pathetic - if this is how it went down, this Springly tool is a pathetic weak loser of the highest order. I HATE sad losers who do things like this....we play footy for fun moron.

And the fact that he did it in a practice match triples just how much of a sad, pathetic loser he is. - Springvale FC should make it clear he is no longer welcome down there, AT A BARE MINIMUM.

Tips for the weekend
Black Rock V Ashwood - Easily with all the guns they have recruited
Bye v Caulfield - Caulfield will be the Lyndale of 2011
Highett v Oakleigh - Haven't heard much about Highett
Springvale v Hampton - Hampton will stuggle this year.
South Yarra v Skye - Skye 30 points
Bentleigh v Murrumbeena - Bentleigh - cant wait.

lyndale didn't fold, princes park an excellent facility, must be some clubs ready to pounce on that ground. Who would be the prime candidate?

Hey ewe the word around the VAFA traps is that AJAX are already asking questions. Their juniors already use the ground. I believe Caulfield only have 34 players

hey, dont worry about caulfield, there coach will rally the troops and keep the club going with his contacts .lol. bet you he quits b4 round 6. trust me, lyndale would have lost 2 the bye if they had one last year. caulfield are in alot better shape so far this year than lyndale were. on another point. what did the districts blokes get and who are they.

my tip 4 premiers this year are benleigh in this comp as both districts wont have the pace to match them... just watch and see

love to know what club you represent or follow. cause middle of the rung clubs have people that play 4 fun. yrt playing for flags. dare you too mention who you belong with. guarentee they havent played in a flag 4 a while if all at YOUR club believe in YOUR, PLAY FOR FUN.
go play indoor cricket... play a fun, yippee

trust me - EVERY Club faces deep challenges and the occasional poor, sometimes very poor year. The SFL will not benefit from Caulfield collapsing. The Bears are a old and proud Club with great people behind them and they should enjoy everyones good wishes for 2011 - regardless of who they may have appointed as Senior Coach

I agreee, but unfortunately they have to compete with many clubs within a couple of kilometres. Ormond, Glen Eira, Murrumbeena, St Pauls, Old Hailebury and Bentleigh to name a few. Also makes it hard when the vultures at AJAX are hovering for the ground. Good luck.

Good call SJLM!

All clubs go through hard times at one point or another and this time Caulfield seem to be going through a rough patch.

You are spot on that Caulfield have some great people behind them and will bounce back!

The biggest issue they have IMO is that they don't get many junior players through to the seniors and I believe that is because the location of the junior and senior club are some distance apart. If they can somehow sort this issue then i think they will be greatly strengthened for the future.

Also, as somebody has already indicated there is a fair bit of competition for players around the area.

If Springvale Districts don't ban that thug and he man then they need to have a serious hard look at themselves. To go out there and start belting a player is an absolute joke, especially when the Dingley player didn't initiate one thing.

Nevertheless, looks to be a cracker opening round!

Black Rock V Ashwood - Purely on recruiting, haven't heard much about their practise games.
Highett v Oakleigh - have heard their looking alright with a couple of old faces back!
Springvale v Hampton - The bigger bodies will prove to much.
South Yarra v Skye - flip of the coin.
Bentleigh v Murrumbeena - not much said about the dee's on the forum this pre-season so will be interesting to see how they go!

Good luck all!

i cannot seem to find these two springvale districts footballers names i look on the tribunal page still last year can some one give me there names please thanks:):):):):):)

one was their full forward think its greg walker, and the other was an 18 year old who came in late. There is always two sides to every story the Dingley bloke threw one behind play and copped it from the districts bloke, copped more than he should of but if you throw them you got to be able cop it back and copped it he did. The bloke that got six weeks came in late and got him in the ribs when it was done and dusted, pretty soft imo. Anyway heard they are missing another 4 of their best team on Friday night don't think it will matter much though. Interesting to see how the full forward from Hampton goes, heard he kicked 20 on the weekend

This has been done to death so lets leave it but some people who would hide behind the point post pee me off. The bloke who got 2 weeks is now on 15 weeks suspension. 1 more and game over.

If anybody with half a mind would think that a kid that could have still played colts last year would throw the first one against a seasoned thug like this is dreaming. Make as many excuses as you like but you are wrong. The bloke who got 6 weeks hit the kid when he was basically knocked out. True story, now let me here your weak comeback again soft man!!!

And how many weeks did the main bloke get?

looks like greg got two weeks and the ghost got 6 weeks i was told by a player from his club that he looked in great nick and this was going to be his year:) lets all hope he can show the comp how good he really is in 2011:thumbsu:

i have changed my mind on what really happened to the young kid and why:D

and has DINGLEY become the new doveton of the:footy: comp?

Couldn't agree more! Still think the 2 weeks is soft when the bloke has that many priors already. Rub him out and let him on his way, clearly his not going to learn until some kids in hospital with permanent brain damage!

To all of those talking about Caulfield we will be fine Scotty is a really good coach and has the whole group behind him dont worry about our numbers they will be fine and as for our ground we will be back at princess park next year stronger then ever

Good luck to Bentleigh for its first game back in SFL, lets hope the boys can have a good win in front of a crowd of past players

Those scribes who thought Springy had the flag in the bag should think again.... won by a couple of goals - slow, poor game plan and bad ball use. Vassalllo very good but Walker sitting in the stand for six weeks for a thug act wont help them.

Agree last nights game was a very poor standard for all the Springy hype.Hampton div 3 up v Springy div 1 down and only a small margin in it?

Dont believe the hype. Worth the look just to watch Gav Vassalo.Gun!
