If they owe the President money he is hardly going to go running the AMMOs to tell them thats laughable.

Mate, you've really got to start reading earlier posts! The debt was acquired almost 10 years ago from player payments!! The club has worked hard to get back into the + and if one has a think about it, it would not be from player payments!! Blokes were lucky enough to get a discount hair cut voucher for getting in the best over the last few seasons!! I'd love for you to come down to the club for a beer and actually see first hand what it's all about and not get to into the whole Chinese whispers going around!!

On the contrary 2011 is shaping to be a interesting year! When are most clubs pre seasons starting, can't really say we've even heard anything about ours yet!

Look to be honest the SFL standard needs to improve i would say last year the Standard was no better than the year before.
City were on par with the year before Chelsea improved St Pauls fell away.
Then the gap was too great.

In Div 2
Clayton and Oakleigh had a big gap on the others maybe highett could of done better? then it really fell away.

Div 3 well what can we say about those sides ??
P.S i am not a coach either but i got a record thats says when i was i did ok !!!

Just for some very premature predictions (Not put in any particular order) but who do people see as the movers and sliders for reason '11? The 3 new teams will make it interesting and I think Bentleigh will come in and surprise alot of people

If Bentleigh Won in 2011, they should go up. Promotion & relegation is mandatory, they knew this coming into the competition.

For Bentleigh it is not mandatory. One of the perks of coming back was the SFL giving us the option of staying in Div 2 or moving up/down depending on how we fare results (and confidence) wise. I think this is the case for 3 years.

Its too early to be talking about the premiers for 2011, but flattering that you thought of us. We haven't really had a gauge of what the comp is like yet, but at a guess it would be the closet division to D2 VAFA, I'd reckon.

We finished 6th last year in that comp, but had rotten luck with injuries. Like everyone else we'll be wanting to be playing finals, hopefully with a full list.

I'd keep an eye on Springvale Dist myself. A team that's been relegated normally has a big point to prove to the comp & they go on a big recruitment drive, so look out for them. Others would be Oakleigh & Highett who were thereabouts last year as well.

On the issue of if Bentleigh won the Premiership (and I stress IF we won), it would be in my opinion (and only my opinion, not that of the clubs) that we'd stay in Div 2 for another year. Only because we're only now starting to get our heads above water financially, but don't have the cash yet to compete with the big boys in Div 1. We'd try & build some sort of 'base' if you will'....only my opinion

I'd only be guessing, but you'd think the the woodenspooner would stay in Division 1.

This year in the VAFA D2, it looks as if the team supposed to be relegated (2nd last) will stay in D2, sort of the same thing.

But we at Bentleigh aren't looking that far ahead just yet.

Your right, most likely the wooden spooner would stay up but if the wooden spooner went 0-18 & had a percentage of like 20-30, you would think they would give the runners up in division 2 the option of going up.

You'd think first of all the "0-18" club would still have the option of staying up, but more than likely, unless Richard Houston came along with his cheque book, they'd go down & 2nd place would go up. Interesting scenario though

But it wont suprise if they havent good luck must admit the resume reads well but anyone can make a resume look good!!!
