interesting to note that you had a good win against Doveton the other week, but now you are coming up against Mount and Skye in the next two games, infact you have beaten all clubs once except for Mount and Skye, how do you think you will go?

Great to see in the reserves this year that at the moment, 5 teams are fighting for the top 4 spots. South are definitely sitting pretty, and after playing everyone once, they are the obvious team to beat. This week's results should break up the top four a little, but I think it will come down to the last few games of the season.

just putting two and two together, but did cerberus forfit the match against mount today? no scores and there ones only kicked 5 points against mount. Also interesting to note that mussaridis played for doveton seconds today and kicked 9. Maybe qualifying a few blokes just in case down there?

No need to qualify anyone Smuu, Mussa has come back after a few weeks out and has played in the magoos.

I can confirm that Cerberus reserves forfeited on Saturday, though from talking to a couple of their players, it was due to the coaching staff making a statement to the playing group. Apparently they played the guys that had been training in the seniors, and didn't have enough that had trained to field a reserve side. We actually played a scratchie between our reserves and a side made up of our 3rds and Cerberus reserves, which made for some interesting times.

Was there a bit of an intra-club scuffle lone wolf? Hope they can get a side together this week so we can have a hit out before playing the top side. Also not real fair that you blokes don't get percentage either.

Noscuffles SMUU28, just interesting watching whether teamates were prepared to really tackles each other in a game that only served as a full contact training drill. Happy to say that while played in the right spirit, no-one shirked an issue.

The hit-out was a bit of a glorified scratch match between Mt Waverley vs The 'Allies'.
It was a decent contest though, mainly the first half.
The second half was a bit of a blow out with Mt Waverley dominating.
This was mainly due to the Allies having no bench and some of the older players not being able to run out the whole match and Mt Waverley having the better personnel.
But overall, it was a good fun hit-out, I think overall everybody enjoyed themselves and it was played in good spirits.

stupid comment smuu! why would you try qualifying senior players for twos footy when your ones are trying to make finals??? also take a look at his playing record this year, before sandown he hadnt played in nearly 6 weeks so isnt coming back thru the twos the norm?? i assume it is at most clubs, what about jenkins? is that what canterbury is doing?:p

my point exactly if his in your best 18 shouldn't he be playing ones not kicking a bag against Sandown two's? the way sandown are he would have kicked a bag in the ones anyway. Jenko has played one two's game and that is it, so i don't know where you are going there. Anyway see you sat....

must have been trying to set up a smoke screen disco:rolleyes: so when is he playing his last two to qualify?

He played against Sandown after not playing for 6 weeks and then was unavailable against Sth Yarra, so he again played in the two's whats your point Smuu28.

I think you will find that the side has been winnning all year without these players in fact there are players in the 1sts who can still qualify, as well as several players out injured.

As it turned out he wasn't required in the firsts anyway !
