He played against Sandown after not playing for 6 weeks and then was unavailable against Sth Yarra, so he again played in the two's whats your point Smuu28.

I think you will find that the side has been winnning all year without these players in fact there are players in the 1sts who can still qualify, as well as several players out injured.

As it turned out he wasn't required in the firsts anyway !

can't argue with that!!

will all come down to the last round!! interesting events at the sth yarra v dandenong game on saturday, heard yarras lead by 8-9 goals when an interchange player entered the field of play to help an injured teammate off the ground, dandy called for a player count and yarra had there score wiped. still ended up winning easily but may effect there percentage come final round!! frankencow, you allowed to discuss??

Yarras were leading by about 9 goals at the time when a yarra player went down and asked for the stretcher. Both teams went to thier own huddle when Yarra's bench came onto the ground, not just one player but all of the bench. Dandy's bench called for a head count and Yarra's score was wiped. This was in the second quarter. To yarra's credit, they lost the plot for the rest of the quarter but came out after the break and got back to business and controlled the game.
From what I heard after the game, there will be an investigation into this to see if the lost score will be re-instated or not. SFL to investigate and decide this week.

Jesus, scored wiped and still won, unreal!!

Mussa told me on satday avo that he will be qaulifying for doveton ressies for finals.

be a loss for the seniors id say....

Great effort by Mussa. Good to see him hang around and watch Dovetons seniors on Saturday. Also by what he was saying he will be coaching elsewhere next year. Probably should just about win best clubman this year.

Benchman you have declared you support the Rockers yet you seem to spend all your time on the Div 3 sites, very puzzling my friend.

so why aren't you posting on Div 2 only, and stop worrying about the sides you no longer play, just a thought :D

their is no1 talking on any of the other forums..........and with the dingos dominating div2 is a little pointless this year anyway

Quite bizzare that Doveton are dropping players back into the ressies to qualify them for finals. From history, wasn't there a statement a couple of years ago from Doveton that they don't do this sort of thing. Funny, 'cause I think they are. If it was my club and the seniors are just hanging in there with a chance, wouldn't you play your best 21 in the seniors. Bizzare!!!!

wouldnt didak be playing for colliwobbles if you awlyas play you're best 21 to make sure you get in finals.......

point being if a bloke is being disciplined, he doesnt play, regardless of best 21 or not......if a bloke goes to a caoch and says he dont wanna play 1's, then you dont play him, regardless of best 21.... you play the best 21 that WANT to be there, and DESERVE to be there

no offense to muzza, dont know him never met him,but im sure the dovey selection comitee know wat they r doing

Yeah but, a senior player at a number of clubs and is now playing in the ressies. He is better than that.

Spot on Benchman, I can assure you that Doveton are not dropping anyone back to qualify them for a 2's flag. I guarantee you Doveton are playing to make the finals in the Seniors and hopefully we will get over the line. Whilst a 2's flag would be a bonus, it is definitely not what the club is aiming for.
Whilst we do have a couple of ex Dandy players at the club, we do not have the same thought process as the Dandenong Demons do in taking the easy way out and playing for 2's flags.

Tell me would you be playing Mussa in the 1's if he hasnt trained for about 10 weeks and cant commit due to work commitments? I dont think so, better off playing a young kid who trains twice a week and deserves his spot. Mussa knows what the club is about and if that means he has to play 2's thats where he will play.

Now that the home and away season has finished, any nominations for Ressies team of the year??

From what games I have seen this year of a number of clubs, I'll put in-
Jason Wood from Canterbury
Grant Wyatt, Kane Bundy and Tim Watson from Doveton
Dean Leask from Mount Waverly
Patton, Malone, Rodders from Skye
Bart McDonald, Trav Moore from Dandenong
Don't know his name, but #38 i think from Sth.Yarra, this guy has curly hair and haddlee as well.

higgon and rumbold from sth yarra, kruger, baum and hamish giles from canterbury, attwood from mount, i'll think of more latter!!

Its always hard to come up with best teams in the Reserves because the good players often head up to the 1s. I wouldn't disagree with anyone named so far. For mine, Bundy from Doveton has been the stand-out for the year in the 2s, and I've been surprised that he hasn't been given a better crack at it. He should win the league BnF. Even harder to name a Best 22. Below is the best I could come up with from what names have been mentioned so far, plus a few others I've played against over the years and rated:

B - Jury (Yarra), P Garrivan (Mount), Giles (Cant)
HB - Higgon (Yarra), O'Byrne (Sandown), Wyett (Doveton)
C - Bundy (Doveton), Leask (Mt), Baum (Cant)
HF - Fernando (Doveton), Attwood (Mt), Nicolosi (Dand)
F - Arena (Doveton), Gorman (Doveton), Bath (Yarra)
Rucks -Rodriguez (Skye), Wood (Cant), McDonald (Dand)
Bench - Lambert (Skye), Burridge (Skye), Brady (Yarra), S Garrivan (Mount)

Not too sure about other teams, but from mt T. Beecroft is a certainity. I'd have him ahead of Leask based on this years preformances. Also Cugley and Marshall would be pretty stiff to miss out imo.

Was trying to get some people from every club into the team. I don't know if you've tried, but its hard piecing together a team of blokes who aren't good enough to play in their Senior teams.

Master of Cooks, why don't I just put 22 Mt Waverley blokes in?
