Pick 30If Port lose this weekend and we offer Pick 9 and Pick 14. What do Freo get back?
Seems like a overpay but I will accept it. Swear thats more than we got for NealePick 30
I’d say pick 21 at a minimumIf Port lose this weekend and we offer Pick 9 and Pick 14. What do Freo get back?
Gee, he's late on that news.

Tough Choice....You get the girl in my Avvie for the night
Gibbs to crows.Has there ever been a trade that is as win/win as this one potentially?
If you can throw in Port going out in straight sets . . .At the end of the day, Bolton is worth about a first and a second, realistically.
But because he's in contract, it'll be 9 and the Port Adelaide pick.
But that means the hawks win…If you can throw in Port going out in straight sets . . .
You make a good pointBut that means the hawks win…
And if Ken makes a prelim, the schism at the club of stay or go will be a joy.
Sounds expensive....
Pretty good fail option tbhSounds like a club with 3 first round picks that is very keen to use them in trade week rather than the draft.
They always had the fallback position that using those picks in the draft wasn't a bad 'plan B'. Now, while that's still true on a surface level, it would clearly mean they'd failed badly during trade week to achieve their strategic goals.
Pretty good fail option tbh
much better than our failure to make the finals
We aren't going to walk anyway, it'll go through AFL mediation if need beAgreed. It's more a perception thing, and it also makes it harder for those doing the trades to drive a hard deal.
Before this statement, you could stand tough and say that while you were prepared to trade them, you're happy either way.
Now it's clear that if you take those picks to the draft (inc swapping them for future picks), you've significantly failed to achieve your plan.
Last day of trade week, you're still going hard with Richmond over Bolton...you want 9 & 17, they want 9 & 10 (let's not quibble over the details here...it's just an example)....Can your list managers really take the L and walk away from that deal, even as a bluff?
