Post game Colts fan went onto field and was hurling pretty bad abuse at the umpire. Been told he grabbed his neck and pushed him too. Coppas came but unsure if he got arrested. Also unsure why a fan of the winning team would approach the umpires too
It was the Port Melbourne umpire escort who fired up at a field umpire. Other umpire escort got involved and was pushed and thrown to ground. Looks like the paperwork was messed up, so no report and no consequences.

at the mordi and st kilda city game today there was a decent mellee at end of ressies game.

certain well known st kilda city samoan gangster ran on to ground and thumped mordi player then thumped mordi president. was talk of calling police but threats were made so the boys in blue were not involved.

excuse was that the samoan gangsters cousin was shot dead in noble park earlier in the week, so this guy went on a big ice bender in days before the game.

Did this even happen

I played, that didn’t happen at all

So what did happen??
There was a bit of a wrestle on the other side of the ground, the siren went. Then the guy who has been banned ran out and started arguing with another player, he tried to coax them out to the car park as we were moving back towards the rooms. Everyone got separated and that was it. The guy stuck around and kept drinking whilst watching the ones game..

Slightly different to previous report!!
Still not a good look that a supporter, and one with his history continues to get involved and try coax others to the car park
Not sure how the club and league handle that , but it cannot continue

This is still a problem within the SFL, it's a stigma that the league can't seem to shake. I know the SFL is not the only league where these supporter behavioural issues arise but it's unfortunate that it continues to arise multiple times a season.

Should the clubs be held to more account for not only the behaviour of the players but also those that attend matches.

I'm also conscious of not tarring all clubs with the same brush.

Its always the same clubs, both inner city clubs, I never hear anything about behavior from Dingley, Chelthenham, Bentleigh etc, Is this driven by the fact that they have ferral supporters and over paid / over rated players with no loyalty or respect for the clubs they represent.

Yea like dingley supporters are angels

You’d be living under a rock to not have heard how St kilda city and Port colts are heavily in bed with gangs, bikies, nose beers etc. They’re strong clubs however as a result of their ties they do seem to attract some pretty unpleasant supporters and even players (ie citys 19s team this year). Sfnl would never have the balls to do anything though.

In other news any hear how freeman went on the weekend? Dingley knocking off cranny away is huge. On their day I’d imagine any of the top 5 can realistically win the flag. Chelt and cranny are favourites, however a fev and swanny fueled city has shown they can also beat the best. Likewise with Freeman and dingley as they start to get their full side in. St. paul’s probably the least likely but you can never count them out.

Especially the one's on the hill in the beer tent and fire pit going off.
All clubs in all comps have some idiotic supporters. But the SFL unfortunately seems to be overrepresented. In regard to the comment about Dingley. They have a core of supporters who are bogan piss pots but are generally harmless. StKC and PC “supporters” are next level with an element who seem to actively look for trouble. Anyone playing or going to watch local footy should not have to put up with this.

It is one thing to cop some verbal abuse from an obnoxious drunk. It is another thing to be threatened to be be stabbed or shot by someone who actually has the propensity and means to carry that out. The clubs and competition need to stamp that out but neither have the plums to do it.

You have personally been threatened to be stabbed or shot have you? 🤣

Sadly yes. Well not technically stabbed. It was more like. “I’m going to cut your f…… throat you f…… c…”. I don’t doubt for one minute that this nutter meant business but fortunately for me the said knuckle dragger was so drunk he would have probably lacked the dexterity to carry it out. I was not the only one threatened by that goose this particular day either. Of course you cannot tar every supporter with the same brush but the memory remains which does tend to cloud my judgment of this particular club.
