AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Well said.Really learning a lot and enjoying your posts, am understanding a lot more, thank you.
I know we need KPP, but it really is hard to go past some of those medium sized kids. Really been liking Will Haywards game lately. Has a thumping boot on him. Do you think he can push up the ground or is he going to be a more stay at home forward?This may help. My rough rankings at moment;
1 Hugh McGluggage
2 Andrew McGrath
3 Jack Bowes - GC
4 Tim Toranto
5 Ben Ainsworth
6 Tim English
7 Will Brodie
8 Jack Scrimshaw
9 Sam Petrevski-Seton
10 Todd Marshall
11 Griffin Logue
12 Oliver Florent
13 Shai Bolton

23 Brad Scheer - GC
24 Cedric Cox
25 Kobe Mutch - GWS
26 Will Hayward
27 Luke Ryan
28 Sam Powell-Pepper
29 Hamish Macreadie - GWS

Wouldn't this also push back the picks of the clubs who are bidding on them also? Therefore reducing the value of the bid that we have to match (with our reduced value picks)...? Okay I've given myself a headache nowYeah that is largely correct. The problem is more that as our picks get pushed back their value diminishes and hence our ability to pay for Daicos and Brown become harder.

I really hope we have a couple of picks in the 20's we can get some really solid players this year IMO.

If Brown nominates to seek a trade, given Frost is likely on his way to Brisbane. Do you think we can get by with Keefe coming back? Or will we go after another defender?
If they were willing to trade the Wells compo pick for Brown, they'd just take him as a free agent.Very good question. I think that they might be ok with Brown going and if he nets the compo pick they get for Wells or around the 25-30 mark then it would be super tempting to do it. I rate Keefe and whilst not close to how he is tracking I reckon he is better at his best than Brown and with marsh, Reid and Goldsack back there I'd be ok to lose him. Re getting a back up I think there are a few options likely to be floating around. Alex Silvagni would be one name thats come to mind. Anyway trading him would potentially enable us to launch a couple of picks into the teens. Here is how;
We have picks 25, 44, 62 and 80
Witts to GC for pick 24
Brown for pick 30
Williams for pick 43 & 61 (equiv pick 36)
Cloke for pick 60
Frost to Lions for pick 29 and give them back 60 (equivalent pick 36)
That would then give us 24, 25, 29, 30, 43, 44, 61 and 62.
Assume the picks 44, 61 and 62 are require for Daicos and Brown and maybe another around 50 or so.
That leaves us with 24, 25, 29 & 30.
I would then try and do this with GWS;
Collingwood give 29 + 30 + 43 & 3rd round for 2017
GWS give WHE, # 16 and # 52
That will mean we are left with 16, 24, 25, 44, 52, 61 and 62. I would think the last 4 picks will be enough. 44 and 52 would be enough with the discounts to cover a bid on Daicos at circa 30 which I think is the worst case scenario. Brown would then have enough for a mid 40's bid. Should be fine.
Only question left would be do you package 24 and 25 together and try and go up again?
Snoop i hope you earn a living from this stuff because if not you enter the "Rainman" zone for knowledge. This makes my brain hurt.Very good question. Kerr slipping in your opinion? Is that due to players showing more in the all stars match?This may help. My rough rankings at moment;

What is probably just as interesting is Battle moving into the top 20, which I think might be rightKerr slipping in your opinion? Is that due to players showing more in the all stars match?

What is probably just as interesting is Battle moving into the top 20, which I think might be right
You do realise if we don't get Battle you'll be Battle weary....Im gunning for Logue and Battle
Hahahah yeah lol I rate Kerr as well though so as long as we get one of those 2.You do realise if we don't get Battle you'll be Battle weary....
I'll see myself out.
Slowly walking away)
Of the GWS academy boys I would be bidding on Sproule. Think he's going to be the one they are willing to let go and we should swoop on him.nah had the feeling the last few games seen him. was impressed leading into champs and at champs but for whatever reason just not well performed enough for me to take him as a KPF. His go is to lead hard at the footy and its not working for him at the moment. Still a talent
yeah he is rising but dont be surprised if Hayward sneaks past all of them as he first hybrid forward taken. I like Battle though. He is what Buckley will like. Keep an eye on Kobe Mutch. Be interesting who bids and if GWS take him.
By far the best thread on Trading/Drafting on this BoardReally learning a lot and enjoying your posts, am understanding a lot more, thank you.
We lucky we have some great stuff.By far the best thread on Trading/Drafting on this Board
Yep, and it is actually about drafting and trading where the other threads are just Bucks bashing threads disguised as trade threadsWe lucky we have some great stuff.

And many "other" threads are disguised bashing threads anyway.
But we have Snoops which is fantastic.
And Knightmares on the junior players themselves.
Nirvana I reckon.
Maybe. Looking at the Copeland thread though, I think DaVe86 said Browny looked pretty shocked that Bucks said he was possibly going. I reckon he'll stay.yeah I know but will be a pick around there. I think they have 31 or something don't they? Suspect about right if happens. What do north plan on doing with Hansen?
