It was great to see the boys hepling out with the cleaning up the mess in queensland this morning. For a change some good publicity. Luke gave a donation of $150,000 from the players association.

I like what Scott Pendlebury said a Victoria Vs Allstars match I wouldn't mind dedicating out great game to Qld to raise money to help you all rebuild.Carn the Lions you and your fellow Qld'ers will get through it you all have my support might move up there in a few weeks to rebuild Qld =).See how we go good luck to you all hope your all alive and well.

Watching that footage today of our boys rolling up their sleeves and helping out made me so proud. I don't think I have ever been more proud to say that I barrack for the Brisbane Lions... the best football club anyone could hope to have in their life!

Go you mighty Lions! I love this club!

Was working in my neighbourhood of Yeronga cleaning up some houses. Along comes a few of the lions boys. The house was a huge mess as the old guy that lived there was a bit of a horder. Saw Nathan Clarke out on the footpath on his mobile, before you know it, Dan Merrett, Luke Power, Hawksley, & a few others rocked up. Really got stuck in.

Moved onto another house, the boys had moved onto another street. This house was worse, so a couple of girls went to go find them :D and they came back again to help.

Was really uplifting to see the boys all pitching in to help out where they were needed.

As I understand it he is still getting the help he needs. Personally I am happy not to see him all over the paper. As this time I don't believe it would be good for the Lions in the community if he stuffed up now. Membership dollars will be tight if Qld memberships not already purchased, so negative press won't help the cause at all.

Agreed. Focus on the positives. Let Fev get the help he needs, and let the boy come back to playing football.

If he was out there, the media would have twisted some negative spin on it anyway... Fev dramas sell papers.

Thought the same RE. Fev.
Would have been a HUGE positive for fans, critics, teammates, the club, members
and Fev himself if he had been there yesterday.

Can not agree. Imagine what a circus it would be with papparazzi looking for a shot & every hack in the business trying to get the first Fev comments.. Then we would have had the cops in here to disperse the crowd, negative comments on wasting their time in these circumstances. Instead of helping we would have seen Fev trying to escape the attention. Would not do his head any good either. Even just comments, stares & questions from bystanders.

And taken 100% of the focus off of every other player there doing good. Luke power's announcement of the $150k donation would have been lost in the uproar. All broadcast live on national TV, on every network. What a schemozzle. Instead of he good publicity we got, it would have been a total circus.

I would not read too much into the HS aricle. WIth all he focus on the SEQ floods, every angle would be covered. Could be said it was beneficial, focusing on Fev getting treatment. Pity they didn't bin that photo tho. On another note, I did not kno of the AFLPA chariy fund. Every player giving $50 per game for chariy. Well done, chaps.

I know it will impact on our pre-season, but I fully support our club & players doing all they can for Brisbane now. I will be a positive - both for the organisaion & personally - down the track.

It's more annoying that they would've contacted Angus for a quote when the very same paper wrote that his house was submerged a few days ago. I mean it's just tacky.

Agreed. Not defending the Hun - just saying something was probably inevitable.
