That Pietersen run out was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on a cricket field.

Anyone got a youtube link for that runout?

I only saw it once in highlights, but it looked to me like Pietersen was in his ground at the non-strikers end when the stumps were broken while the other batsman was standing just outside the crease - which would mean the wrong batsman was dismissed.

But I need to have another look at it to be sure.

KP made it to the other end, but don't think Trott even left his end. Another embarrassing bizarre brain fart by KP, basically triggering the England collapse that made the final overs so exciting.

It was so bizarre it almost looked deliberate... can almost hear the uproar if a Pakistani did that.

How great was AB's catch to get rid of Prior? I'd say it was even better than the one he took last summer in Perth.

What prompted Smith to give Ntini the last over I will never understand.

Phenomenal catch, one of the best I've ever seen.

Smith's decision to bowl Ntini was staggering, imagine the uproar if Ponting made that kind of move. ;)

Yes, Trott never even started running, but I thought he was standing just outside the crease - then of course it cut away as I was watching highlights, which is why I need another look at it to be sure.

The way he just keeps running is hilarious. I agree that if it was a Pakistani player questions would be asked.

Funny sign in the crowd last night...

Q. Where do 35% of the England test team stay when playing in South Africa?

A. With their parents.

:D

Graeme Smith's captaincy at the end was mostly inspiring. He brought Harris back for an over and he got a wicket, then he swapped him out for Morkel and Morkel got another one. Didn't work for him when he got Ntini back though, should've bowled Harris, but wonderful captaincy nonetheless

No Punter is a better captain and muppet is a prat.

It looks to me like Trott moves out of the crease as the ball is bowled, then touches his bat back in as Pietersen runs through. But then he lifts his bat again (as he is watching Pietersen) just before the stumps are broken.

I reckon Trott should have been the one who was out.
