WOW that's huge news so Browney's gone what about his assistants and your reserve coach who applied for our gig are they gone too CRISIS time at Chelt
His assistants have been offered huge $ by OM's to join him. Up to them whether they go or not.
Steve has been reappointed as Reserves coach after he was unsuccessful in a few senior jobs he applied for.
On the players, despite being disappointed, the majority our key senior players have indicated they are committed to the club for next year, no matter who the coach is. Others haven't been contacted yet as they are OS.
Despite this being a bit of blow, rest assured our footy club will be back bigger and stronger in 2012 with a point to prove. Adversity brings opportunity.

Brown may regret this, particularly if he was happy at Cheltenham. They are a weird mob at OMs. Never short of a quid, always attract top line players but a perennial ‘yo yo’ club. Despite having a very good list they finished bottom and are back to B grade after just one year. Their last coach had come from Old Xavs. A massive club with huge support, plenty happening off field and years of sustained success. He struggled with the vastly different ‘culture’ at OMs and quit after 1 year. Maybe the lure of the Junction oval was a contributing factor, a magnificent deck for footy. OMs always seem light on for people helping out so Brown will need to bring his own team. As a club they are miles behind the better VAFA clubs – Xavs, Collegians, De La etc.
Have heard Matt Jamieson ( former capt/coach premiership team ) has gone back to the vampires with his brothers. You would think if he could spend more time up forward he and his brother would kick 35-40 each for you next year.

Football Greatest Dribbler...... Welcome back Matty Jamieson, 30+ recruit from SFL Club Heatherton. Hipocrites recruiting from other SFL clubs, where are the other guns coming from?
As good as Matty Jamieson was, I used to watch him as a kid at Edi As, he isnt going to make the difference.
Furthermore Dribbler, all of Dingley's recruiting has been done outside of the SFL. If your players have told you that we have approached them, they are trying to drive the $$$ up. If you or your soft recruiters have fallen for it, more fool you.

Not hypocritical moron, matt is returning to the club where he is a dual B&F winner, capt/coach of a premiership team and would like to finish his footy withhis brothers. He won't the player he was but has a specific role to play with us and would walk into your side.
It's obvious your not in the know at dingley let alone have any idea what we're up to.

I have the utmost respect for Matt Jamieson. I also knew his father and his Uncle Fred very well.
When I lived in Aspendale i watched him as a young bloke at Regents Park and have followed his footy since. He should go very well again this year and i hope he does. I wish he had come to Dingley instead of Heatherton a few years ago but he was teaching close to the Tunners home ground.
Just reminding a couple of hipocrites about some of their recent comments with regard recruiting from the SFL.
Last time I try and explain this to you as I don't think you get it. Having a player eg jamo wanting to return to your club is alot different to poaching a player from a rival club with big $ who has no intention of leaving eg Bruno,Williamson and others .
It's far healthier for the sfl to be recruiting from outside the sfl and having a good colts comp ( which EB are deficient at )as it will make us a stronger league.
Sorry mate, I must have been mistaken, so you didn't recruit Jamo from another 1st Div Club in the SFL?
By the way, Dodgy Hammy Williamson was gone until you doubled his money!!! Pretty good value this year, money well spent!

Boys love the friendly banter on here and have been reading it for a while now...interesting at times yes. From an outsiders perspective I thought East Brighton were the best team I played against this year but to St Pauls credit they thoroughly outplayed the Vampires in the GF and deserved thir win. Congrats! Hopefully a healthy rivalry continues to develop between the two.
Are there any news recruits down at Doggieland Cousin? I've heard Rafferty will most likely be back, but you also lose Liddell (retirement). What Heath's situation is he going around again? Spoke to uncle Steve the other day and he gave me the impression he may not go around again?
