Crows deal being reported as done for Tambling - their compensation pick + third rounder.
Nice joke, FF. :)

That compo pick could be as high as 19 in a couple of years. For that price Richmond better throw in the hypnotist... :D

Settle mate, I actually really rate all three players, hence why I put it up as speculative. Jacobs and Walker do have decent trade value to.
Sorry guys, but a 2nd round pick or 3rd round + Motlop is not a bold play for him. The Crows are very keen to get him. I'm not sure that you have really made a bold play, but if you have you would have to give something of considerable value.
Time to wake up people.

A fair trade both ways for Jacobs or Walker would be a pick in the 30's and a fringe player, you might get slightly more if other clubs are interested.

Crows have pulled out of the race for Walker, looks like it's between the bulldogs and us for his services if he leaves Carlton.

On a side note, Carlton are demanding a first rounder for Jacobs which the Crows appear unwilling to give up.

No thanks then.

No tradey valuable things for flankers.

Out of curiosity, what did Collingwood give up for Jolly last season ?

If Carlton are asking for a first rounder, then I'm not sure they'll get it. Particularly in comparison to Jolly last season.

In regards to the Bulldogs, their first 2 round picks are already committed .

Dogs have the compo pick, but they're trying to give it to the Lions for the Sherminator, who have also received an offer of the Swans first...perhaps the Dogs will throw in another pick.

Seeing we're out, that leaves you and Carlton.....Carlton want a first, my bet is he stays a disgruntled Blue.

Ahhh yes. Sherman has nominated the Bulldogs as his club of choice though. If that gets done, its definitely up to us.

Just heard that too on Trade Week Radio...

What do you think you guys would offer? His manager said a pick between 10-20 would land him, not sure what your view on that is.

How is that a bold play or something that we'd even consider?

Unless you've actually offered your first rounder I reckon you're just being used to up his price and our bargaining power.

The cows have declared they will not try for Walker now they have Tambling

By the way, how about we take Andrew Walker for draft pick 196?

No?

Okay, you keep him

Any chance that Chaplin, Carlise or Trengove could be on the table? Would Port be interested in a package of Jacobs and Walker in exchange for one of those three and something extra?

No, simply NO

Hutchy is pretty adimant that you guys are the favourites for Walker's services right now, on 5AA atm.

Hutchy is still adamant he has hair

Dogs are still keen and the Crows are very keen. We're also happy to keep him if a deal can't be worked out so we won't be letting him go cheap.

Gee, I'm heart broken, I reckon you had better keep him

If Motlop is traded
-It'd probably be a third rounder
-At best a second rounder

from St Kilda, biased towards
-Armitage
-Tom Lynch
-Rhys Stanley

from Carlton, ....
-Walker

from Hawks, ....
-would have said Shoenmakers but we have a lot of developing talls on our list now

didn't include the 2 WA teams as its all quiet on the western front

on another note;

If Carlton want a 1st rounder for Jacobs , and in all the phantom drafts on BF, people having us taking Lycett at Pick 16, why dont we just go after Jacobs who is already developed? I know there is a 3-4 year age difference, but Jacobs is an already-made ruckman, what's so good about Lycett?

Not sure what to think about Walker to be honest. I dont mind him but hes never gonna be a star. He should slot into our midfield/backline group pretty well though. Im growing ever keener on Jacobs but still not really keen on giving up a first round pick for him. Then again, its not really like our number 1 pick this year is anything special.

At least it is `not special' that might fill a need, rather than `not special' that we don't need.

Haven't seen too much of Walker but surely a second rounder is the best they would get from anybody. Our compo pick can be redeemed in another season for a higher pick and is there any player today that has commanded a first round draft pick? Only the like of a top 5 in the club demand that. At least kraks was in our starting 22 but look at the compensation we got.

^ That's what I was thinking as well Cyrus. Or even to place that third tall position like Cornes.

If we could somehow get him for something like the pick we got from Krak, and maybe some swapping of later picks I would be happy.

Jacobs seems expensive. I would like to have him on the list too, but unless they would accept something like the Walker deal I just mentioned I wouldn't be too happy. Unless somehow Motlop is involved.

Any idea which accurate/high footskill players the club is targeting?

I can actually see us doing no trades at all.
