Roast St Kilda in no mans land

Celebrating their 150 year thing this weekend. 1 successful season in 150 years, wow.
see why even,

150 years, 27 spoons, 1 flag, a failed takeover, bankruptcy, 10 Brownlow medals, 7 Coleman medals

AND we're still here, showing up week in, week out

I don't get why you feel you need to shit on another club to make yourself feel better, why don't you go cuddle up to your premiership cups to stoke your superiority complex.

In case you've forgotten, it's been a while for you guys too

2000 was essendons last 34 years after your first and only.

beats 5 of injecting no?
I guess? But my main and only point is st kilda are the worst club ever, by statistics. 150 seasons completed with one singular season being a successful season.

Adelaide are more successful than St.Kilda and been around a lot less.

All fairs in love and war, right?

The fact we are still here as the St. Kilda Saints and not the Brisbane Saints or Sydney Saints or even Southern Saints like Fitzroy, South Melbourne and Footscray is a huge achievement. We still have our original club based in Melbourne which is a decent start I would have thought and something I am proud of!

So dont celebrate one of the oldest sporting franchises in the known world, due to your claim of not enough success? Got it.
I think you might be high on your clubs supply.

Almost 25 years ago now

20 years next year without a finals win

The only time your club has been relevant in that time was when they were caught drug cheating

It’s hard being a Saints fan sometimes but It’s nothing compared to following your mob over the last 20 years

If I were an Essendon fan in a thread like this I’d just be happy the limelight was off you for a bit rather than throwing stones

Should have kicked us out of the comp when we got done for drug cheating. We are a rabble. I hate my football club. If it wasn't for Supercoach I would have zero interest in the AFL

We don't expect you to celebrate our 150 yr existance. Your participation in the event is solely to turn up to the match, watch your side get flogged and then head home again to your shitty flat muttering about James Hird and the unfairness of it all.

I'm not a fan. I mentioned essendon because I noticed that the game is being played against them. If it was gws I'd still make the comments.

Like you said Pies a good example they looked on the brink of collapse with thier list after the salary cap issues, guys like Pendles looked finished etc majority of footy experts were tipping Pies bottom 4

In comes McRae and they go from 17th to missing a GF by a point

Things can change very quickly if a struggling club appoints a good coach imo

Yep, great post.

I may have just bashed Essendon in response to one of your less distinguished supporters but I honestly think the same goes for you guys.

Wouldn't be surprised if you start contending again pretty soon. Brad Scott is an underrated coach.

Obviously got one clown supporting your club whom thinks my posts are hilarious
the fact that you think Saints supporters are now melting down because we've won our opening 2 games is hilarious

90% of Saints fans were sick to death of Rattan and the mediocrity he represented and even those that were anti RTB returning are now on board

hilarious

about to be 3 from 3 with GC at Etihad to come

cue the melts

lol

You’ve clearly forgotten all the vitriol directed at Ross Lyon post his exit last time, and now it’ll be the same idiots posturing because, as you say, you’ll be 3-0 after this week.

Dont blame you guys just shows what a bad coach Ratten was lovely guy but not a good coach

I like Ross and he was number 1 choice to coach Essendon but must admit didnt like him taking a parting shot at the club becuase we didn't give him the job I thought that was unprofessional imo

To be fair you were going through the meltdown of Barham/Sheedy at the time, not surprised he gave you guys a miss.

Carlton however, I am surprised didn't push to get him. But hey ho.
