Geary's had a shocker
*is a shocker

Guys has been butchering everything out of defense for years, in the convo of worst by foot in the AFL. Sure he has heart and can lock down but skills far to much of a liability.

Plenty also in the side who also regularly skip kicking skill sessions...

Does anyone have any reason for optimism for this season . I'm interested to hear some . I think we'll be bottom 4 after this showing
Even before this game i thought we were a bottom 4 side will win 6 to 8 games this year at most, but there is plenty of reasons for optismism

I'm worried we will bobble along in this mode then have our up and comers poached the older guys retire then we become Melbourne

Oh well, wasn't a blow out and we'll be better for the run. Hopefully Roo's all good too. Some signs there, something to work with at minimum.

Yes but with free agency and trading, (and the issues that GWS have to face with reducing their cap and list), it won't be too far away.

Another year of development and another top 6 draft pick and we'll be looking good. Carlisle to come back. Paddy and Hugh to be better for another year and so on...

Sums up the umpiring with Hogan getting another soft free on the siren for Sam Fisher touching him.

Take away the soft free kicks for the Dees in their F50 and we probably would have won.

Not a bad hit out, liked our workrate but our disposal let us down.

Impressed by Gresham, he should be a starter for Rd 1 imo.

Anything is possible, lets hope when have the right people in the right places so this doesn't happen. I think we are still 3 to 4 season away from being close to competing for the 8

Eh I don't care about the result today. I just want to see the errors that killed us so often last year be improved upon. And from what I've seen so far, they haven't.

But there is an argument to be made that a lot of it is due to rust more than anything.

After all I don't think we won a nab game in 2009 did we?

Belted by 50 against the Power so Nab means not much

You always make me grin, Plug.

Anyway lads, I missed the second quarter but thought it seemed a decent hitout.

You guys made massive progress last year from where your rebuild was, and I reckon consolidation isn't at all a bad thing.

Billings looks so ****ing good, by the way. Rare that a team overlooks a player like Bont, but still nails the pick :thumbsu:.
