I see what you mean. But most are unhappy with it. Some are offering reasonable excuses, but overall,we all expect and want more.If you have tolerance for pulling out of contests from fans, plus tolerance that different levels of effort are acceptable from players, and any of that gets through to the club, it's going to have a negative effect.
I can understand (not tolerate) him pulling out of the contest against May.
But the week before was not a high impact moment. It was just 'dive for the ball and win it', and he didn't want to do. That demonstrates a mindset. Unfortunately for him, the May contest, scary as it may be, demonstrates a pattern.
