I still love footy.

What a 3 game stretch.

Bevo frustrates us all at times, but when he has his eye in there are few better.

We finally have worked out the forward mix.

The backline looks unstoppable as long as there is midfield pressure.

We’re the best team in it at the moment. Let’s just hope we can maintain the fire.

Go Dogs.

We may have won on the scoreboard but we lost the more important free kick count

Maybe next week boys, time to regroup

I'm sad, where are all the swans supporters reminding us that we were gifted the flag?

I guess they are not so confident at the moment and only hanging around at their home board.

The best thing about Jamarra hitting form and holding his marks is teams can’t get away with playing an undersized defender on him (like Port did with Bergman at times). All of Darcy, Naughton and Jamarra need proper KPDs and then when one is having a breather or Darcy is in the ruck you get funny mismatches like Logan McDonald on West.

One of the most pleasing things from these past three weeks is the different conditions we’ve won in. Under the roof, full of Carlton fans, then in the mud on the 10 metre longer, 20 metre narrower Kardinia Park full of Geelong nuffies, then on the opposite type field that is very short, but very wide SCG in the sun and wind in front of Sydney nuffies too. We’ve still got games in Ballarat, Adelaide Oval and hopefully MCG to come.
If we win our next 7 we are premiers!

The only dark cloud on an otherwise glorious day was the Brian Taylor led commentary on 7. Had very little interest in why Dogs were playing so well ... except repeated mentions of Swans injuries. They offer no insight or analysis. Basically, if they can't bang on about what stars Bont and Jamarra are, they have very little to say about the Dogs.

How bad are their special comments team? Jones, Burgoyne, Selwood, Cotchin, Hodge, Watson. Hardly only of them can string a sentence together. It’s shocking compared to fox.

I went to the Carlton game. I haven't seen the doggies play like that since 2016. Confidence, flair, intensity, selflessness, and discipline. We've carried that through the next two games against top opposition.

Right now we are looking like the best team in the comp. I also love that we are flying under the media radar. I hope that continues for a few more weeks.

You had Lobb and Khamis as key defenders from Rd 1?
To be fair much of the board has been screaming for one of the tall 4 to be sent back. There is so much talent in the Darcy/Lobb/JUH/Naughts group but at least one had to fall out. It’s either play back or play VFL. I would have sent Naughts back early in the season.

The brilliant (maybe less obvious to make) move was letting Naughton free to roll between mid and half-forward. Outside the Lobb/Richards changes, the impact of that move on freeing up space up front, forcing someone to keep him accountable and connecting the lines is “magnificent”.

Dogs, Hawks and Brisbane are definately the form teams and I’d have the first 2 with a decent gap to 3rd.

I was wrong. The recruitment team, the selection panel were right. The recruitment of Lachie Bramble is the steal of the year. Now an integral part of this team. He just needed to feel the faith and love, he has repaid I spades.
This recruitment has released the ginger ninja to the midfield, which in turn has energised our season.
I'm still a massive critic of VDMs selection but well done to Lachie and the people behind his continued improvement.
👍

Do not doubt the power of the jalepeno.

Did that really happen? I'm trying to convince my brother to fly out for the Finals. He was last here six years ago and we had to settle for a Richmond/Hawthorn Qualifying Final. It's the only game he's seen live. Richmond won. Ugh.

At least he won’t have to see Richmond this time

I think he just got beaten to the ball every time and was mentally shot.
Someone posted that he was a smartarse and up in Bont’s grille last time we played - barring major in game injuries that day we would have won that too.

He’s a massive frontrunner

This game was a prime example of how to properly handle things when the umpire's calls are going against you.
You mean, instead of throwing your arms out and appealing to the umps for absolutely everything….as we all learnt as kids…just play the whistle

It’s always a shame under Bevo he doesn’t know his best team early in the season and it costs us games , this year possibly top4
I’m not sure that’s the case this year…inaccuracy in front of goal cost us at least 3 games this year

I truly believe we are now seeing the effects of the coaching team gelling and the new fitness guys regime taking effect. The run is eerily similar to that of GWS last year from where fitness guy came from

one difference this year, is when we have a buffer we put the foot down and kill the game. in previous years we normally would let the teams back in
