Errol was very busy. He is the differerence in the midfild. He is everywhere scooping up balls and harassing and tackling and being the link man.
Stephens has moves. He can show the ball and jink and go. Evasive. His delivery tonight was first class.
The Two Macs were always there. Gives you confidence.
Rampe was Rampe again.
lloyd was solid.
Bud was exciteable. Only 51 goals until 1100.
Warner was epic again. He gets in the thick of it. Enjoys hitting hard and has that knack of getting a kick away, even if it is awkward.
Mills was uncompromising Mills without starring tonight.
Rowbottom was busy.
It was a tune up. The boys did enough to win.

Really good win given the conditions. Just absolutely brutal heat and humidity today. Very good stuff
Yep tough conditions.

Three ticks to Rampe, Stephens, Florent. Minus three ticks to the commentary team, which was just deplorable tonight. One eyed crap. My son is normally very diplomatic about commentary and even he was livid with Dermie & Co’s dismissal of Sydney. It was like the swans weren’t even playing. Amateur at best.

Really happy with what we saw tonight. Cunningham has slotted into Clarke's role perfectly and also hitting the scoreboard. Hayward is starting to dominate as a medium forward and the midfield looks a lot more balanced with Gulden starting in the centre square.

I hate to say it again but I do think Campbell struggles with endurance.

Had 7 disposals in the first quarter which is great but he ended with 16. Now 16 is pretty good for him, but it would be so much better if he could start averaging 20 disposals a game.

He didn't see it. Horse never sees it...

One of the smartest games I’ve seen us play in those sort of conditions. Even effort across the ground. Rampe and Stephens stood out for me at the ground.

Downsides though. Footy record now 6 bucks. Cider 11 and hot chips 7. Dinner nearly cost me more than the flight up.

I was most impressed by Stephens, Gulden and Hayward.

Stephens was solid from start to finish and has taken his game to a new level. He looked like a seasoned veteran, he's just so composed and clean with the ball.

Gulden was very clean and was very important throughout the game. Going to be huge for us this year.

I've always been a fan of Hayward and thought he became a consistent contributor last season. But he seems like he's taken it to another level. His game appears to have matured, where he knows what his strengths are and he was playing to those strengths throughout.

and pleased we kicked the season off with a good win.
