For those bagging McRae , his comments about us , the Bloods and everything was outstanding and sounded like he hopes we win .
Also what he said to his players at HT
I will be honest. I don't like Collingwood. But I admired Buckley as a person and this year I have admired McRae's coaching. It is not a fluke to get his side to this week in week out. I still cannot stand Collingwood as a club though.

Having been saying it since Saturday night. They were not taking any risks with a player who has become the catalyst in this charge to the GF. Backed themselves with the fact that they were in control of the game and next week was looking very very possible so get the player who could be a deciding factor in the biggest game of the year into cotton wool. Smiling and laughing after game, walking around as free as a bird and on news clips strolling freely at a good pace into scans. Very positive news by this update.
Yeah, he didn't look like a player who was worried he would be missing a grand final

Pridham on the Buddy contract

Colless was probably more robust in his public commentary, but Pridham can be equally cutting;
"I spend more time reading the Financial Review than the Herald Sun, so I have got no idea where it comes from.."

And I notice the one reply to the tweet (from a Bulldogs supporter) references COLA. :rolleyes:

The more things change.......

True and we've been pretty lucky in that respect so far but it may not always be that way. It's not unthinkable that we'll be pushing 100k members at some stage and if the members allocation gets smaller and smaller each year then attending a grand final may be out of reach for the majority of supporters who want to be there.

I've been lucky enough to go to every one we've played in but I'd hate to think that one day my kids might be completely excluded from enjoying the kind of moments I've been fortunate enough to have been a part of just so some non-competing club can package a ticket with a breakfast and flog it off for $2000.

The member and club allocations were increased a number of years ago (from 28,000 to 34,000 for members and 3,000 to 5,000 for the competing clubs) and currently are at their highest they have been for well over 50 years.

Still not enough, but the allocation has been getting bigger, not smaller.

Make some room on the wall.

Not sure why our trophy is tattooed thoView attachment 1514789

I don’t like that it’s a tattoo at all. Having said that, if we win they could publish some red squiggles on a blank page and I’d be ok.

Yeah not a fan but who cares I'll design my own. I'll have a swan lifting the cup in one hand, a head of a cat in the other and crushing Stevic underfoot.
