I don't mean interviews or going onto a show as a once off as a segment. But could easily see a "hey, take $150k off your contract but you'll commentate on 7 and have a job straight after" type of deal which to me is a salary cap rort.There is zero issue here whatsoever.If we got more current veteran players on broadcast (not on their own teams) who are knowledgable on the game, that would go a long way to improving the current commentary product. I'm fairly sure players don't get paid for interviews (I could be wrong) and that would apply to commentary/TV commitments.
Plus, Phil Davis is basically off the list/on absolute peanuts (20-odd games since the 2019 Grand Final).
Same with the 2 players that do weekly segments on 360. If they rotated those players around, I wouldn't have an issue with it
