I don't where this belongs nor where to post it but here'll do: javascript:play_video_id('6313267302112', 'brodie-grundy-and-nazeem-hussain-chat-sport-comedy-and-coping-when-things-go-wrong:28611');

This is Brodie Grundy apparently hosting a podcast and interviewing Nazeem Hussain but the whole thing comes across just as a chat and, unfortunately, a rather tedious one for the most part. It's unclear when it was done. Still it's interesting to see something of what Brodie's about/up to.

Yep. The one consistent from 2014, 2022 and 2024 is John Longmire, we need someone externally to see what's going wrong.
In the past, external reviews have worked out okay for Geelong and Richmond, why not us?

I would suggest because they probably dont think its warranted or are to comfortable within?

Thats the problem with making the GF so often its a impossible problem to fix.

I will never forget Longmire quote at the presser in GF week "hopefully we are ready to go" hopefully? HOPEFULLY? that suggests doubt

It’s been quite a few weeks now.
The more I think about it the more I think we are just losers.
“Hopefully”? Really?
Turn the coaches & list over until we get a winning mentality like we did under the Roos legacy.

Even Jude Bolton questioned the GF effort. He knows we are not winners.

So we came last in the eyes of the media. Lawyers, Psychologists now recruiting managers ? Can’t seem to take a trick on or off the field.

Tough reading but excellent interview with Barry Mitchell about his post-footy health issues by Robbo (I read it in the Oz).

BM claimed that 16 out of the main 24 that played for the Swans in the 80s are dealing with significant physical or mental health issues 40 years on. That's horrifying.
This is the one I think?

Back then you were considered weak if you brought up any sort of mental issues very glad the way things have developed and its taken seriously now.

Incredibly common with professional sportsmen/ women, just over 33% of professional athletes suffer from depression and/ or anxiety after their career ends (and that's just those who admit to it).

You have to be wired a certain way to be an athlete, plus multiple athletes develop an addiction to dopamine (which can be generated from large amounts of training).

Take away the training/ structure from their lives, then add in a likely dopamine shortage and you have a recipe for depression (and that is before the added pressure of sports, fans and everything else).

Socials showing pre season , we look like we are wearing maroon tops , surely not !
I think some fans including myself have probably been a bit hyperbolic in terms of shitting on the club this off-season, taking out our frustrations where they don't belong.

However if I was a high-up at a club who knew we had an angry and frustrated supporter base right now, I would probably not make the decision to completely deviate from the club's core colours??? Especially towards a colour very similar to the team that belted us in a grand final??? Just a thought...

Yep common theme is once you retire from a professional athlete you lose purpose and for some they cant get it back.

Some are saying dark red , it's maroon . Why even go away from our colours and seriously use white because of the heat
