“Coffs Harbour was a pretty tough one. I was out there for a bit of it, not all of it.

“I think the humidity out there, it was right at the peak of our pre-season load and that was right up there.

“It was over 30 degrees and it was a big session of match play and training. There was not anyone (throwing up) or anything like that. But there was a lot of tired bodies.

“We had a couple of guys losing four to five kilograms, to put that into perspective.”

Beginning to sound like whinging poms complaining about the heat!

Swans media team has really lifted its game this pre-season, credit to Codesports/Newscorp for the Lachlan McKirdy coverage, but I noticed last's night's report of our game was written by the AFL's Brisbane reporter (Michael Whiting).

Incredible that there is still no dedicated AFL.com.au NSW based reporter to cover GWS & ourselves.

Andrew Dillon's view (from May 2023); “I see New South Wales as a massive opportunity for the AFL, and I think we’ll continue to invest up there.”

A NSW based reporter would be a worthwhile investment I would have thought.

Am a big fan of McKirdy and his reporting, his articles have been better then most.

The worst reporting comes from the Daily Telegraph. It's so blatantly anti-AFL I get a headache just looking at the pages.

No wonder we are cooked during the season.

What i posted was true and our ex chairman was ropeable about it Ticks
Oh I don't doubt it. It's part of the reason why our coverage in Sydney by the NSW papers is so awful. While other states have their media stand up for them in NSW we get nothing. Not a whistle.
