On The Couch Swans Talks:
1) 24:33mins in Nick Blakey named as one of the new Prototype Defenders. Rated 5th best player across the league (the rating system is advised in their discussion). Medium Key sized back influence in the game increasing

Quite interesting in light of the way we've been playing Melican and Hamling. The mobile medium backline seems to be the thing. It looks like that's how we'll go into round 1.

Thought this part was about spot on.. ps.. changed the number of finals wins from one to XX

Most likely: The Swans continue to set the standard for professionalism and consistency. They pick up where they left off late last year, never endure a three-game losing streak, and are in contention all year for the coveted double chance. They win XX finals to leave the fan base bullish about the future.

The Age running this history of Swans in Sydney. It's behind a paywall - if anyone reads it let us know if there's anything new.

06MAR24: Tom Papley interview/2GB
Tom Papley on 2GB last night

This is behind a paywall if you're not a subscriber. For those that can read it, it's a great preview of the 'battle within the battle' of Gawn v Grundy. There are some choice typos: "kockeyed", "borken down" and "bewteen" stuck out for me.
