i could turn to 2gb only at gunpoint

And the questions were smart enough, with only ritual referencing of Lance Franklin.

The March to the Ground sounds like there will be heaps of retired players providing the guard of honour.

Fantastic. Hope to get live reports and a few pickies from Board Members.

Personally I've never liked "an historic" and I'm not convinced it's more correct.

Generally speaking "an" is used when the next word starts with a vowel and "a" used when the next word starts with a consonant but even then there are exceptions.

Thanks for sharing Calli but geez they are effing useless. Our team's focus narrowed down to McDonald taking over from Buddy (Ticky009 !!) and Grundy in the ruck. Then in another AFL.com article they mention Warner and Papley returning after sitting out the practice match, but obviously couldn't be arsed to include Rampe & Lloyd. Or maybe they just didn't know they missed the practice match in the first place because those two aren't on the media's list of five 'designated Swans to know by name.'

Those nominated for the NSW Hall Of Fame have been announced , but sadly Goodsey has declined
It’s a travesty that neither LRT nor Troy Luff has made the list.

Luff, in particular, not only hailed from a part of NSW that has produced very few AFL players, he continued to play and coach in the local leagues well into middle age. I’d have thought he deserved recognition for his contribution to local Sydney footy as much as his achievement of Swans cult figure.

And reflecting a little more, Lockett’s name on the list feels a little out of place. Is he the only ex-player on the list that isn’t a NSWelshman? Though if Goodes was invited, that would have made two. But then how about MickyO whose career stacks up just fine against the likes of McVeigh and Jack and Kirk and Barry, and who has remained in NSW post retirement and been involved in coaching both in our academy and with the RAMS and currently serves on our board.

This is behind a paywall if you're not a subscriber. For those that can read it, it's a great preview of the 'battle within the battle' of Gawn v Grundy. There are some choice typos: "kockeyed", "borken down" and "bewteen" stuck out for me.
HB must have done it at midnight. He's usually spot on. Enjoyed it. Didn't look at the impact of the battle on the outcome of the game though in his preview he picked us by 21. 😃😃😃
