Finally sitting back and enjoying the full replay. First thought, Daniher just looks weird af in those colours.

Do Brisbane's colours suit anyone who isn’t blonde or a ginger?

Ok just watching the early stages and omg does Campbell ever miss a target? There was actually a Campbell to Gulden to McDonald play which I would have loved Logan to finish off.

McDonald actually looks transformed on the ground. He goes from sort of an awkward goofy manchild to being the man. Love that.

Congratulations on the win.

Here are the midfield frequency stats from the game - I didn't post these last season, so if you've never seen them before, these are how often each of your players were lining up as one of the 5 mids (inside + wing) at bounces.
Thanks for this, I always find these stats interesting. :thumbsu:

Joe Daniher, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Striking Dane Rampe, Sydney Swans, during the first quarter of the Round One match between the Brisbane Lions and Sydney Swans, played at the Gabba on Saturday March 20.

In summary he can accept a $2000 sanction with an early plea.

During the week I was just saying keep it within 4 goals. We kicked more goals in the 3rd quarter than we kicked in a lot of games last year.

Yep I was hoping they kept any loss to under 5 Goals.
The fluency of the kicking , and finding the targets by foot hasn't been seen for a few seasons by the Swans.

Mandatory note of caution:

1. Brisbane’s pressure was poor. We had time to execute skills. Won’t always be that way.

2. R1 2018 we belted the eventual premiers (WC). It was a false dawn.

I suspect this year won’t be 2018 again - but some ups and downs must be expected.

Yup Round 1 can be peculiar looked back at that 2018 side compared to yesterday.

- Grundy, Mcveigh, Jones, Melican, Fox, Franklin, Hayward, Jack, Smith, Sinclair, Newman, Towers

The above didnt play yesterday.

Yeah last few years we've had a few genuinely great performances surrounded by a whole lot of nothing. 2018 round 1 vs West Coast, when Buddy kicked 8. 2019 vs West Coast, when we whooped em at the SCG. Last year vs GWS in the Perth derby. The challenge is always doing it consistently. I will feel incredibly optimistic if we are able to back it up again this week in a very winnable game.

Its a team that had 10 players under 50 games so to expect consistent performances will be a anomaly, Longmire will be demanding it but yes we shall see.

Just give me 48 hours to enjoy the win Dubai Quacker. That's all I ask.
Let me bask in the reality of being 3rd on the ladder and with a possibility of having kicked the highest score this round.

Horse said they could enjoy the moment before moving on....I'm enjoying my moment. Okay!:grinv1:

Ticky, you have 26 more hours.

After which, please report back with pragmatism fully restored.
