I hope we are going after Dawson. He is a big upgrade on Keays. I would be paying him what it takes to get him out of Sydney. Keays kicking disposal will never get better. He's been in the system for 6 or 7 years already.

I also hope we go after Dawson, but he is not an alternative to Keays.

He is definitely a class above Keays but with that said he is also a totally different player to Keays....

Dawson would be the Brodie Smith replacement.

My hope is that Hamill eventually moves up the field and becomes more of a playmaker instead of a shutdown defender. Similar to Mattner, he's wasted deep in defence.

Totally agree on Hamill. Needs to go to a wing, his offensive skills are wasted down back. He isn't a defender.

This is good work but it always cracks me up when people have the ability to customise a gif but don't know how to directly link from imgur to avoid the white borders around the image.

I'm not ruling out us redrafting him in the main or rookie drafts, not ruling out a SSP drafting, not ruling out a mid-season drafting, not ruling out a DFA signing at the end of the following year

How do you do it? I hate how the title I used when I posted this to Reddit stays there too.
The only work around I’ve come up with is to upload the gif to Imgur twice, use one link for Reddit and another one for here.

If you go into your imgur archive and click on the image, you should see a series of links on the right hand side. The one you want is called BBCode. Copy and paste the link there directly to your comment. You don't even need to select insert image.

(You can find your imgur image archive by clicking at the top right hand side where your imgur username is and selecting "images")

Thanks. I’m usually on my phone at work browsing BigFooty. I think the size of my gifs might be why Moogle’s idea didn’t work.

I actually think Roo will demand that Mackay stays on the list for yet another “one last year”..

Roo is a dickhead that, whilst he was good at football, is absolutely clueless on how to run a football club.. we will never be a success whilst we have Roo at the helm.. the best possible outcome is..

Actually he's a very good defender

Very good? Not sure.

I think he cleans up loose balls well.

I think he chases in a straight line well.

He can turn defence into attack through run, but haven't seen a lot of it this year

I think his body work is probably not a strength.

He's kicking skills needs major cleaning up.

He probably isn't a tight defender in the way Kelly or Brown (in the old days) is

I think he can overcommits as a defender and is someone who can be easily faked.

He's not smart and clean as a defender in the way Doedee is.

So if you regard Doedee as an elite defender, then perhaps I'd put him as good.

Like others I think he could be an elite wingman though. He'd could be one of those wingman that if given space can cause real panic in opposition sides, especially amongst defenders in our forward 50. Yes he could possibly do similar from halfback, but he could be more impactful higher up the ground where his play could lead directly to scoring opportunities, which we so desperately need.

So depends what you'd prefer, I know what I prefer.

I dont know.. maybe its got something to do with the praise Roo constantly heaps on David when he’s the commentary boundary rider..

Normally “highly skilled“ is how Roo referred to David after David kicked the ground going for goal on the weekend.. then he again made excuses for David later in the game when he stuffed up..

and these examples were certainly not the first time Roo had praised, or excused davids, actions on the footy field.

Roo thinks David is a gun player.
