Just got my first ‘anti teal’ flyer in the letter box in kooyong electorate.

It’s along the lines of teals will be catastrophic in a minority labor govt. a vote for teal is a vote for greens and labor. Funded by big money in Sydney and Melbourne. Teals mps voting with green and labor much more than with coalition

Tealsrevealed.com.

Presumably this is targeted at the small percentage of voters who switched lib to teal, cos all the arguments they put actually is positive for greens and labor voters who voted tactically either first or subsequent preferences that we are getting exactly what we voted for, and are pretty happy with it.

So the anti teal flyers are actually pro teal for about 40% of the voters letterboxed clap clap clap

Hope for their sake their arguments resonate with the moderate liberal voters who switched (a small percentage) or they are screwed
This after dutton basically sneering at them for 2 1/2 years

Short version: amateur hour

Most of Ryan’s votes came from green and labor voters primary or preference votes. Arguably only 6% primary came from liberal voters.
Ryan is actually voting in proportion to the voters who elected her

State seat hawthorn (half of Kooyong) voted a Lo or mp in in the previous state election

We know that Kylea Tink is going to be out - her seat of North Sydney is being abolished.

I can see perhaps one more losing their seat, but no more. Nobody who gave a teal candidate their first preference, or who voted tactically, is going to vote for Dutton's brand of brain-dead culture war politics.

Morrison tried that during the 2022 election in a bid to pick up Labor outer-suburb seats. It didn't work, and ensured that every Liberal seat targeted by teals was lost.

Wasn’t it actually the liberals who last seriously considered raising the level of GST?

some serious wishful thinking happening here on behalf of the hate hydrants at newscorp methinks

there are automatons who will lap up this force fed conservative messaging ..... are they voters in existing teal seats? ..... highly unlikely

Bradfield looms as an interesting watch:

My electorate is finally getting interesting, having been about the safest seat in the country for decades.

The Lib head office are going hard against Mundine and his son. Very big chance they lose the seat if Mundine gets the nod from the local branch.

Likelihood of an ALP minority government supported by teals grows everyday which will be an improvement. Lib leadership doing its best to lose the election

We have one now in Sturt.

Is an ex-greens member and was getting ready to support the Greens candidate, so not a Moderate Lib.

We are in Sturt, I genuinely hope the LNP get booted, for nothing else than being completely useless and invisible since Christopher Pyne left.

Will be interesting how the vote goes

Many of the ground roots Libs want to lose so Dutton gets the boot. The Right have had too much power for too long and have no idea how to come up with reasonable policies.

The problem is, Albo is a do-nothing leader and may well lose.

It’s reducing every day. Albo will be trying desperately to distance himself from the Teals and Greens as being associated with them is a certain vote loser for the swing voter.

A lot of true libs want him gone, the trouble is the nutters are the ones with the strong donors. ALP has been good on some areas and awful in others, it will lose its majority status but I can't see anyway Dutton gets close to majority. He will win a few back in WA, maybe Vic but will lose more inner city seats to Teals. I think there is a good chance he will lose his own seat.

Libs are paying for having moderate faction leaders lose Marise Payne who was too scared to take a stand but was great at behind the scene manipulation to boost her own power base (based on what I saw in NSW Lib conferences and when she was my minister)
