Name them... pfft what a fuzz pedal, a wah and univibe? a lot of his sound was pushing his amps at sheer volume, these days you have guys with a million effects.

I'm yet to hear a better Rhythm player in rock in particular.
I'm not disagreeing.
I've been a member of the TDPRI board for 10 years, lots of Jimmi haters over there. Perhaps you should subscribe and take the debate up over there. I prefer to talk about footy here:thumbsu:

There's so many great guitarists that are never mentioned -- Dick Dale, Duane Allman, Frank Zappa, Robbie Robertson, Carlos Santana, Robert Fripp, Ritchie Blackmore & Jerry Garcia.

But there's one who I love listening to that aint even on the Rolling Stone Top 100 list, Randy California, known mainly for his work with Spirit. He played with Jimi in the Jimmy James and the Blue Flames group.

Randy also put out the inspired solo album, Kapt. Kopter and the (Fabulous) Twirly Birds. There's some Capt. Beefheart & Zappa in that album

Again I hate agreeing with you, but cannot fault your music taste. Fripp and Zappa are genius. And California is awesome. If it weren't for your shit taste in footy clubs, I'd live to spend a lazy afternoon, beers and Scotch, just thumbing through this music with you. It scares me!!

Would also add Frampton and Townshend to that list. If you haven't listened to it yet, get on to Daltrey and Wilko's collaboration. Sublime R and B.

You'd have to also like old movies, go through my 5,000 + movies in my collection plus old LP's

Yea Randy was pretty cool, the poor bugger drowned rescuing his son from a rip.

King Crimson are fantastic, Fripp's solo albums get a bit tedious for me though

The Allman Brothers live album from the fillmore is up there with the best live albums of all-time

Blackmore, Garcia & Santana leave me cold for various different reasons, but that's more from a taste point of view

Love Zappa and Beefheart

I'm not a Hendrix then the rest type but ppl that bag him are usually ones who haven't dug much further than Purple Haze

This is pretty beefhearty:

Zappa at Filmore East. 'Tied to the whipping post'. As good as it gets.

Crowbots members will gather on Tuesday night to collect - and the Adelaide Football Club hopes - embrace the AFL’s first official hymn sheets.

Dubbed the “Chants Hour”, the Crowbots have invited their members and fans to “The Shed” at West Lakes from 6pm for a one-hour rehearsal of chants Adelaide expects will convert the collective supporter base known as the “19th Man” to be football’s equivalent of international cricket’s “Barmy Army”.

How's that chanting rubbish going?

Any more rehearsals?

What new initiatives will the camries bring to AFL world this year?

I'm glad you asked............ We have their amazingly original "We Fly As One" slogan, it's so good that apparently Port decided to copy it :$

It's a horrible shame the "March As One" concept actually happened months before the Crows announced it

At Sunset, the fast-rising local band chosen to lead the Port Adelaide fans in their “March from the Mall” to Adelaide Oval today, will have more on its playlist than the single — Every Little Thing — released yesterday by Warner Music. Their routine is expected to include for the first time the song “March As One” — a piece dedicated to the collective passion of football fans.

Band member Harrison Kantarias wrote the song in November at the request — or rather from the challenge — of former Port Adelaide Football Club board member Alex Panas. First titled “1870” — in recognition of Port Adelaide’s foundation date — the song captures the emotions of a supporter base, a football team and a club as is unites for the ultimate goal of a premiership.
