Would anybody else rate Bo Allan as a more similar player to Yeo than Ginbey?

Ginbey lacks the agility that Yeo and Allan have/had, and Bo's traits seem to line up with Yeo quite nicely. Both Yeo and Allan are both far more aggressive and penetrating kicks than Ginbey too.

Seeing that Bo actually placed 4th in the combine in agility surprised me a bit, im coming around to him a lot lately.

Thought I'd have a stab at a phantom

Assumes NM trade pick 2 to Tigers for 6 and 18-ish.

Reckon there's a decent chance of one of TT or Smillie getting to our pick.

Guiding principles:
  • Have gone with the Adam Jones belief that Allan doesn't get past 10 with Melb & Stk most keen
  • I think Stk go a genuine mid & a tall fwd with their 2 picks. Think someone else to partner with King is a bigger need for them than a HBF like TT
  • There's quite a few possibilities for Rich's 10 & 11. No doubt it could go many ways. But if they go genuine mids with 1&2, then you'd expect they're looking at wings, flanks & talls at 10/11. Having that many early picks you'd think there's a chance they take the risk on Hotton. And I think they'd want at least one tall in their first 4 picks. But Shanahan might be a reach for here, & who knows whether Trainor will slide further given concussion issues.
  1. Rich - Lalor
  2. Rich - FOS
  3. Carl - Smith
  4. Adel - draper
  5. Melb - Langford
  6. NM - Tauru
  7. Stk - Reid
  8. Stk - Armstrong
  9. Melb - Allan
  10. Rich - TT/Hotton/Berry/Trainor/Shanahan/Smillie
  11. Rich - TT/Hotton/Berry/Trainor/Shanahan/Smillie
  12. WCE - decent chance one of TT or Smillie lasts
Yeah this is where ive landed too, really depends what Richmond want. Id like to think that if they take 2 mids with 1+ 2/6 then theyre going to take at least 1 tall at 10/11, with the other player really being a toss up. Maybe they dont want 3 mids in the top 10 of the same draft, but I hope they take a punt on Hotton.

I think this is plausible

Ultimately, what we want is for one or more of Trainor, Hotton or Shanahan to to go before our pick.

For each one that does, one of Smillie, Travaglia or Allan becomes available at our selection. The first 8 names you’ve listed won’t last to our pick so it becomes a waiting game to see which of those three get through

If they’re all gone then Lindsay sounds like our best option

FWIW, I think it was reported in The Age that Richmond are very reluctant to part with pick 6, and apparently they really like Smillie there, so if anyone is going to trade up to 2 it’s probably going to be St Kilda.

Talk on our board that it would be for our future first and one of 7 or 8.

Yep - try snd get a 1-1 matchup that you like the looks of and the person kicking out keeps an eye on it. Play on from square & boot the ball to your team-mate's advantage.

Maybe have a sneaky second player ready to go defensive side in case things go wrong.

Just show a bit of inventiveness.

And stop being so predictable.

We have to get another pick or 2 in the 25-35 range.

The bombers 28 31 trade in/out scenario has to pushed.

Having 12 28 31 champion and a late slider with our pick in the 80s (comes in to the early 60s) - this is where we take a punt on Urquhart if he slides.

The Bombers trade is a no brainer if they agree to it. Had a bit of a look with the draft points calculator as a rough guide assuming same ladder positions:

OUT: 26, F2 (WCE), F2 (HAW), F3 (HAW)
IN: 28, 31, 46, F2 (ESS)

28 and 31 take best KPD and best mid left on the board.

You do realise those weakness at that arange is just a scratch right?

The weaknesses from pick 12 and above is gigantic. Its potentially bust territory.

We are considering a dude that tore his acl as the pick of the crop (Taj hotten)

We wre considering a dude that tore his something as a pick of the crop (Lindsay)

We are considering a player who averages at best 15-20 possessions at junior level (Bo Allen)

That's ****ing horrific
You don't even know Bo Allan's name but pretend to be a footy expert!?

Moreas and Oliver at our current 2nd is promising. Would love either one.

His best trait is arguably his ball use, credit to a raking left-foot kick when is often used to penetrate the attacking 50.
If anyone wants to do a Masters in human anatomy, please undertake a study on the reason mollydookers are born with a garden implement on the end of one leg.
Every single left footer with a half decent kick is referred to as having a raking left foot kick, but I don't recall ever hearing or reading of a right footer ever being described as a raking r.f. kick.

Mid-morning hump day musings.

I have been more in the Ginbey court than the Yeo court but IF Allan can go the similar journey to Elliot Yeo, then I would support the pick.

It just pisses me off the way the Vic media are so lazy in attributing any WA talent as who we will draft. As the list stands now, we have 54% from WA and 35% from Vic.

For a dude named Meltman with the self professed power to melt, you sure do pass the vibe test and lack piss soaked towels.
There are some posts from the pissening that would deffinatly claim otherwise.
I was displeased with this well compensated narrative.

Team Yellow will score another point if hive mind favourite Travaligia is available and we pick someone else. Team Dry Sheets with a point if we do take him.

Not sure there are any other options unless we go full West Coast and take a tall forward with our first pick. That's golden shower snitch territory for Team Yellow (even though they already have an unassailable lead after trade millennium).
