OK

Hendo was great, Sloane came to battle. Cameron rounding into some nice form

Bad
Seedsman miss was pretty ugly, and JJ's lack of awareness for holding the ball midway through the 4th was gruesome

Ugly
Crouch Bros 15 touches at 40% DE yuk
Not kicking a goal in the last quarter when it was on the line
Umpires. Cmon a bad performance in our favour doesn't make it a well umpires game.

Putrid
Brodie Smith
Agree. B crouch particularly.

The last 2 weeks in particular have really shown just how poor our midfield is right now. Have been absolutely smashed in the middle two weeks running and realistically were shown up by Freo for most of the first half too.

Sloane is a gun, that's all we have right now.

M. Crouch has really struggled the last few weeks, B. Crouch was again poor but at least he has the lack of match fitness excuse. Douglas has been woeful all season after he was so important last year, Thompson looks cooked.

We have far too many players pitifully out of form and need a dramatic turn around, fast. All our efforts at the draft/trade table this year MUST go toward bringing in some elite midfield talent.

Good:
Sloane and CC. Earned their money.
Hendo was good.
Brown good
Lever at times
JJ at times
Atkins at times

Chance to be dropped:
Thommo,
B Crouch
Douglas,
Seedsman
Milera

Wish we had a back up:
Jacobs
Smith
Tex

Wish we had him on the park:
Laird.

Can someone tell tex not to play on after marking it, ever! He seriously cluster ****s it every time.

Milera and b crouch not ready.

Douglas has to go. Sorry Douggie, I love you but you have been shocking lately.

JJ selfish, came off once, ****ed the other one.

Backline under siege again. I just can't judge them too badly when the midfield is applying no pressure.

And last but not least, smith and seedsman - what can i say.

Sorry to intrude.

Just wanted to say I thought Cameron and Sloane were just incredible tonight. I also thought Walker's first half was brilliant, a very strong Captain's performance despite dropping off a bit in the second half. I loved his physicality at the start of the game.

You guys struggled a bit getting it out of your defense. Is that partly due to Laird being out?

Anyway condolences about the loss and goodluck for the rest of your season. I hope that no bottom feeders come to lay the boots in over the umpiring crap. It's poor form to kick people when they are down.

I'm sure you guys will stabilise and get your season back on track and you will be there in September. Your list has too many stars and your gameplan looks solid. Goodluck again.

Didn't look like it from the start tonight. Need to change it up and bring in new blood. Bring in Wigg down back, Lyons back in for Dougie, Knight for Milera. Seeds and Smith on last chance, as is BCrouch. Do we need a second ruck to help Sauce out? We so need Laird, and Hampton methinks to give us some run out of the back half.

Love the crows, and especially our games against them in recent times, and was hoping to meet them in the finals.

It's not all doom and gloom as it is still early in the season, but you guys will be chasing tail for a while and top 4 might be a stretch too far.

As for this game it looked to me like Jacob's wasn't close to drawing even in the ruck (as well as being fairly bad around the ground, regardless of what the stats say) which allowed Geelong to get the ball into their forward half. And while they were very kamikaze with their disposal they were simply able to keep it in there because Jacob's wasn't offering enough and your HBFers were, frankly, putrid.

Jacob's draws even in the ruck and suddenly everything else would have looked a bit better. But given Seedsman's shot at goal I'm not convinced ANYTHING could have saved his game. Shame about Tex's fitness and touch, seems to be making him have to resort to other means to try and have a big impact and it just isn't coming off. Crouch is a worry as well, really didn't notice him much in the guts but definately noticed some of his disposals; I think I counted 3 that went straight onto opposition chests.

Sloane though... damn. Love that bloke. He just kept trying and trying and kept doing the right things. Cameron also looked like he could have been a game breaker with some of his passages of play in transition and in the forward half.

Best of luck with the rest of the season, hopefully a loss like this makes a few people have a look at themselves (or forces the coach's hand and MAKES them have a look at themselves from the sidelines.)

Ugly:
- South Australia. This Victorian dickhead patronized us for 7 years and pisses off home to Victoria as quick as he can and we lay out the red carpet for him, making him the biggest story of the round. Oh poor Patty, we'll always love you. You're always welcome at Adelaide. It was a ****ing love in. Give me Tippett any day. I much prefer to be stabbed in the back than in the front while he's giving me a hug. campaigner.
