I keep posting it because it's true. Intentional, high hits have been on the agenda all year, throwing one is ill-disciplined. Oliver going to ground has no impact on the suspension whatsoever. Ben Cunnington did not get suspended after he gut punched Bernie Vince sending him dry-retching on the bench. The medical report is the only thing that matters and if it shows that there was any blood or bruising then its going to come back to bite him.

Do you seriously think Parker would not have just got a fine if Baguely has dived? Oliver's dive has everything to do with Schofield's suspension.

Wont be embarrassed at all. I give Oliver the benefit of the doubt for the same reason I gave Crouch the benefit of the doubt after the Hawkins hit. There is no way of knowing what kind of impact was made by video footage alone. I honestly look forward to seeing it if it's made available, will shed a lot of light on the topic. But I still believe the possibility that even a glancing elbow to the jaw could put someone down. There's a reason Boxers protect their chins, it is a weak point. I've seen footage of Boxers KO'd after receiving similarly innocuous hits.

Did Buddy get a suspension for Rance's dive?

I thought he had staged it as well until i saw a slo mo that shows the ripple of the impact go through his chin. He also seemed legitimately pisssed at the impact and wanted to fight about it. Hes never been know to dive so i think its pretty harsh that this has tarnished his reputation. He got hit in a sweet spot and it stunned him

If he gets 2 weeks now for challenging, at what point will people actually realise that Schofield is the goose??
Oliver has you all eating out of the palm of his hand!!

I don't think Oliver is that bright to be doing it intentionally. His stupidity is infuriating the masses but I doubt he's doing it with a brain cell kicking in.

He flopped against North a few weeks ago as well.
So already has history.

a poster suggested viney said sonething to lewis which led to bite

It wasn't just one incident. Chris was getting racially vilified from the crowd earlier in the game. The players were laughing at him about it too. Disgusting but expected from your mob. This is well document too.

I wonder if he'll go insufficient force or downgrade from intentional to reckless.
To be honest if they go insufficient force it'll be hard given there's already been medical reports considered. I guessing he'll go for reckless.

They can go both however i think the better way is to change from intentional. Because the half closed fist strikes the shoulder first it should be a very easy argument to say the elbow contact isn't intentional.

Problem is, it happens hundreds of times a game, and do you see hundreds of melees per match?

Players get deliberately elbowed in the jaw hundreds of times a game? o_O

As for people saying he must have been trawling through twitter to find the comment, I would have thought the fact that his twitter handle is in Martyn's initial tweet suggests he wouldn't have had to do much searching.

Aboriginal players at the time were often racially abused but it was a while ago, things were different back then with regards to abuse, and I wouldn't hold Melbourne solely culpable for it. Bringing up the Lewis/Viney bite is not relevant to this thread.
