Imagine you turned up to a meeting about a potential contract and a person from a rival firm elbowed you in the face, but only made glancing contact? Even if that person didn't make contact but tried to knock you on your a--, in my company you'd have to report it to HR.

See, it's easy to write hypotheticals.

It's obviously not that easy, considering how stupid yours is.

i hope Schofield gets off but i'm little old school cause i haven't liked a number of incidents when guys have got rubbed out for little things. But i do find it ironic that the WCE supporters are complaining and moaning about him diving cause they have had 2 of the biggest divers and duckers in there team in Shuey and Darling and don't think i seen to many Eagle fans ever complain about them.

I dont know about you but if I elbowed someone at work out of frustration i would probably lose my job and face legal consequences. Regardless of how much of a dickhead the bloke i elbowed was being after the fact.

Your job is not a contact sport.

If you tackle somebody at work, you will get sacked.

If a professional netballer or tennis player starts tackling people at work, they will be sacked.

If a professional AFL player DOESN'T tackle people at work, they will be sacked.

Hopefully this clears things up.

The guy got 90 odd not out in the World Cup final, with a broken finger.
Soft is one thing he isn't, think your giving your opinion too much credit;)

Mate - soft dismissals are Damien Martyn

You mustn't be on our board much (which is understandable), I think there is a thread dedicated to Darling and his diving.

I will speak on behalf of most supporters (as Darling's sponsor) and say that we hate Darling's inept attempts at winning a contest and throwing his head back like he's been shot. He is a disgrace at the moment and his football is well below par, so he's not winning any friends.

While we praise Shuey for finally actually going at the ball instead of always looking to get a free, it's improved his game a lot.
He still ducks a bit, but in no way as much as he used to.

We are very aware of Darling and are not fans of it.

Not sure where you get Shuey from? He hasn't been ducking in years and even then, what does that have to do with Oliver winning an Olympic Gold Medal in Diving on numerous occasions?

Well he got his whack. Trying to shame a 19 year old kid over twitter. What a pathetic individual. I am glad Oliver called him out on it.

Ah yes that poor 19 year old kid making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and drink driving his car. Just an innocent lad. Won't someone please think of the children!

I mean, I don't like when Shuey or Darling stage for frees, but at least a free kick benefits your team. Whereas Oliver's flop (a) did not benefit his team at all, and (b) was followed by him doubling and tripling down on his BS so that Schofield would face a suspension.

That's terrible whataboutism by the Dees supporter. It's comparing apples to orangutans.

Forgetting all the back and forth for a sec it does seem really odd that Melbourne havent shut him down on twitter. Whatever you think about him it would be largely forgotten now if not for the tweets/profile pic choices.

You realise point (a) actually works in Oliver's favour, right? Surely when a flop/dive/stage/etc is done to earn a free kick it adds to the cause for condemnation, not lessen it.
