I will be shocked if they appoint him. Seriously, that would be a truly crazy decision. Even for that basket case club it would an utterly irrational and unconscionable appointment.

They simply have to appoint him now. The entire process will now become the Hird circus and if they don’t the poor sucker they do will be set up to fail. It will be a similar to the Matty Knights situation with the ever present threat of Hird looming over them.
The fact this has come out and he wasn’t told to stay far away from the process has set the club back years. I suspect it will get leaked that the panel selecting the coach put forward Yze to the Board, but they overruled it and selected Hird.
