Ok mate, I know that legal stuff is your vibe. I’ll leave it there.

Nothing about legal - it’s about the abject stupidity of anyone drawing conclusions on what has been reported so far. Right now, the only rational response is to wait for more information, not rush to pious garbage, which seems to be your vibe.

You’ve got the wrong end of my stick brother. Haven’t said anyone should make a conclusion right now.

They must have felt comfortable with the Hawthorn inquiry.
I doubt they feel comfortable now.
I hope they do participate but I can totally understand why they would choose not to.

We all know that nothing will be proven.

Which leaves us to draw our own conclusions.

That’s on them if they felt comfortable then and don’t feel comfortable now. That’s the life of the “ whistlblower”. It isn’t easy.

Are you 100% sure that isn't leaking a story?, seems a strange place to go and confide your sufferings. I would have thought there are much more qualified listeners than an ABC journalist
A huge swathe of people go to a journalist to tell their story.

Explain how that could possibly be "leaking" a story?

Maybe put this in Yoda-speak to sound even more wise.

Regardless, the investigation will proceed. Their own conclusions, people can then draw.

Might only post in Yodish from now on

Actually not true. I at least try to be succinct. Unlike weary mouth
In any case it could only be said you type too much, unless you read aloud as you type, in which case you need a bit of help.;)

Go to the Yoda translator then copy/paste the resultant text into "Fakeyou" (fakeyou.com) after selecting yoda voice text to speech generator.

You can also get Trump to admit he is guilty of crimes against the United States......LOL

How would accepting an indigenous person's 'truth' as the truth work?
Something along the lines of:

One version of truth is they did it. Another version of truth is they didn't. Due to the first version of the truth we are suspending the coaches indefinitely. However due to the other version it is a suspended suspension and the coaches can return to work immediately.

You drew your own conclusion at the outset. Many others probably did too. But seriously, if they have now decided that 'they don't feel comfortable' and don't wish to participate, then surely they should say so immediately so the inquiry can be dismissed and everyone involved returns to getting on with their lives.
AFL have said they're running the inquiry with or without the claimants.

Good. It can't be allowed to drag on and on. If people's reputations and livelihoods are to be tarnished, let that happen immediately rather than at some unannounced time somewhere in the future. I would have also thought the claimants would want their allegations dealt with as soon as possible too.

I don’t see why the claimants would want this dealt with as soon as possible. They have already told their story, what do they have to gain by telling it again?

The claimants stated very early that they were happy to participate in any enquiry that was not controlled by the AFL.
So what happens? The AFL control the enquiry!
I will not blame any aboriginal player, or their partners, if they do not participate in this kangaroo court.
Oh well if they boycott the inquiry, their very serious claims will be dismissed and the football world will move on. Personally I don't recall them stating that they would not participate in an inquiry controlled by the AFL. Surely the AFL is the right body to deal with this situation.

You might not remember it but they did. They made a statement through their lawyer stating that they would participate in an enquiry that wasn't run by the AFL not long after the article was published. Surely you can empathise with why they wouldn't want the AFL to manage this if what they claim is true.

People keep saying this, or variants of it, but it doesn’t make sense. If not the AFL, which body would be appropriate to constitute the enquiry?

I cannot envisage any other body being more appropriate to manage the enquiry than the AFL. I see no reason why they would not give the claimants a fair hearing.
