I am gong to preface this by saying Sack Hinkley.

I had a quick look at all of the coaches going around and there are a lot of mediocre coaches at the moment.

You've got a good, young coach like Sam Mitchell.
Chris Scott is a good coach.
Adam Kingsley is doing well.
Longmire has done well.
There is a question mark on Hardwick and especially Clarkson.
Yze hopefully gets an influx of talent and we can see what he can do.
The rest of them are good to average coaches that don't really inspire a lot.

There is a real hang on to your coaches forever and hope everything turns out well.

There is not a lot of young buck coaches at the moment.

A coach who would've gotten the sack after 4 to 6 years is now going on for 8, 10 and now Hinkley for 12 years.

And maybe it's just me but assistants seem nowadays to want to stay assistants. Maybe it is easier to be an assistant without the headache of being the Head Coach but still with good pay and the footy lifestyle.
MacRae's no mug btw

Biggest win by a Victorian team in finals outside of Victoria.

• Heaviest home state final defeat against an interstate opponent in the history of the national comp (previous, GEE L by 80 vs WCE, 1994 GF).

• Heaviest PAFC home defeat since 2011 (previous, L by 79 vs BL, R16 2024).

If Hawthorn win tonight and knock off Port next week, they will have won the same amount of finals in a one week period as what Port Adelaide has in ten years
As mentioned elsewhere, Crows haven’t played finals in 7 years and still have more finals wins in the last decade than Port Adelaide.

But do they have a Minor Round record as good as ours? I don’t think so.” (D.K.)

And wasn’t the previous record held by the Dogs in the 2021 prelim?

I have only gone back to 2016 (and 3 of the 2007 Finals), but on % the biggest interstate Vic Finals win would still be the 2021 PF.

(Yes. We are currently on 4 of the Top-10 matches. Only 1 on the right side of it. 2 of the bad games are courtesy of Hinkley. Both at home.)

Most years under Hinkley's regime, Port has lost at least 1 game by 60 pts. Most of them have been away from home, but not since the 2021 PF loss to the bulldogs.

Most of them have been late in the season.

The sad part is that extending this to 1997, we probably don’t look any better.

Why are you including 2012 season in this analysis when Ken's first season was 2013??

In Holden Hillbilly and Sleezy ’s defense, it’s the first season with all 18 clubs. It’s hard to avoid including it.

I only leave it out because of Hinkley, but I do separate tables from 2012 onwards.

It makes Hinkley's failure to deliver record look worse, if you know that 2012 Port finished 14th.

Yes. Then, it’s on Port, rather than on Hinkley. He cannot be responsible for 2012.
