The perfect representation of a typical Advertiser story really. Somebody would have gotten a raise for that one.

I agree. The only thing I can say in his defense is that we had half a list for most of the year. Had more players been on the park things could've been different. Although the only mid who was injured for a long period of the year was White.

Yes and no. Jimmy Toumpas in for Hartlett could have happened ten times over.

Calm down, the crows aren't actively pursuing this action. Just a slippery court reporter asking his equally slippery campaignerish law mates what might happen. Of course they're putting forward the most sensational thesis. This would make Eddie's presumption look almost ok.

I just watched the coaches Showdown presser and some dopey reporter actually asked if they're relieved that players won't have to testify or something along those lines. She even went on briefly talking about outcomes of hearings thus far. Kens face said it all.

Just a counterpoint to this Fagan was on radio just now saying they haven't made a decision yet in regards to trying to get the date pushed back but they're discussing it.

No-one saying a thing about Eddie's behaviour leading up to the incident or whether the AFC will apologise for that. Sure, doesn't excuse it but Eddie provoked the crowd twice with his 4th and 5th goals by doing his chest-beating bit at the Port crowd. Adelaide are probably trying to work out some way that they can demand apologies for all the supporters who took offence at his actions after his final goal. Maybe they should do something about the Justin Bieber fans who were deliberately screaming in my ear for most of the last quarter.

I found Eddie's grandstanding as annoying as the next Port supporter, but the guy kicked 5 goals in his 250th with the last putting the result beyond doubt. To say that he did that but it doesn't excuse the banana throwing is disingenuous. It is absolutely not an excuse and should not even be considered. There is a distinct difference between the two regardless of whether it was racially motivated or not, so why even mention it?
 
He does it at every oval... And heaps of players do that kind of thing all the time... To even attempt to justify the action speaks volumes of your character and intelligence
