I think there's an obvious relationship between spending so much time waiting for something to happen and the levels of frustration at "nothing" happening. But - we're not Melbourne, thank Christ. Be thankful we can spend all this energy arguing about fringe players in/out.
I would have thought he'd be a chance to become captain at the Dees.Hey Dave, If you come to North we think you could be a useful sub option and a depth player.
Hey Dave, If you come to Melbourne you can start in the 21 each week.
North Melbourne has shown an interest in Melbourne midfielder Jordan Gysberts as a potential solution to the impasse in getting key position player Cameron Pederson to the Demons.
The Demons have so far been unable to satisfy North Melbourne with a suitable draft pick to trade for the Kangaroo.
Melbourne has already used the No.3 pick on youngster Jesse Hogan and its No.4 selection was considered off limits. The Demons have also committed their second-round selection to Jack Viney under the father-son rule.
In a busy trade period for the Demons, they also secured Chris Dawes from Collingwood for a late first-round pick and a swap of third-round picks, making it harder for them to satisfy the Roos with a suitable draft pick for Pederson.
Gysberts was the No.11 pick in the 2009 draft but, after some initial progress, his career stagnated in the 2012 season.
It has, but what I particularly like about the article is the line "Melbourne has already used the No.3 pick on youngster Jesse Hogan and its No.4 selection was considered off limits." Goddammit, if only they hadn't ruled the number 4 off limits, we might have got it for Pedo!Not sure if this has been posted in the thread as yet;

Lets trade Pedo to Melb for a late pick and a CEO!
So we have until 2pm tomorrow to sign Ben Jacobs ?
I view them as potentially best 22 players, who at worst provide adequate depth... for 3 - 7 yearsBy targetting Jacobs, Gysberts, Hine etc do we increase the number of those playing career best footy or do we just get more potential?
Get the feeling the club is still taking more gambles with the state of the list when 2 or 3 years ago the risks werent as great as to what they are right now.
Well looking back, it looks like Boak was the best fit. It's hard to know from the outside, but I wonder if our crew regret not going harder at him?Who can we get who is playing career best footy tazza? And for how much?
Considering that the super duper trading crew at Geelong couldn't get him I doubt he was going anywhere anyway. Port are probably paying him shitloads. He would've been a decent get but he stayed at his club.Well looking back, it looks like Boak was the best fit. Okay, now I'm confused.We need more midfielders. I'm fine with getting Jacobs and Gysberts.
