Can't we simply front load Nick's 3 year deal to pay him 800k in the first year, then 200k in second and third years? Why do we need to complicate things with some draft tempering which won't fly?

what about we just forget about NDS, it sounds like he doesn't want to come and Stkilda don't know what they want to do.

I say we get the best deal we can for LukeD and don't waste any further effort on NDS unless Stkilda decides to make him a FA.

Was told he has asked to be traded if he can get to a club with better opportunity for him to play so won't be surprised (will be disappointed) to see him traded.

What is he, 23 with 70 games under his belt. Tough with iffy disposal but someone the demons could use.

He is a good player but we don't need to trade for him.

Offering Luke Delaney, an 9-10 year key defender that we didn't want to lose for an outside midfielder with probably two years of top class football that St Kilda are happy to lose is more than adequate.

We would like NDS, but we don't need him. St Kilda need Delaney. They would be more disappointed if the deal fell through than we should be.
