My issue is that I choose not to look past his flaws.

Personally, I don't hold any politician up to the mirror of perfection. But I do expect them to exceed a baseline standard if they want my vote. And that minimum would include that they aren't an adjudged rapist and business fraud who has placed 6 businesses into bankruptcy protection amongst many other things at a bare minimum.

That shouldn't be a lot to ask.

People who indulge in culture war nonsense cannot see that they are being sold the latest in a long line of repacked boogymen that the leaders and media partners at the head of their movement need to dangle out in front of their supporters to keep them scared and or tuned in.

It's equal parts hilarious and sad that they are so wilfully blind to Trumps true and well documented character and personality disorders that they have to stoop to euphemistically calling them flaws. In their desperation to drag everybody else down to his low level only to cover them in shit and then point to how everybody is covered in shit.

His supporters are victims of a massive PSYOP. And they cannot or choose not to see it.

So I could spend the next 6 months arguing on the internet trying to explain one by one the reasons why it's never Democrats. But I don't have the bandwidth. If you refuse to understand the other side you'll be forever arguing online. I understand the anger you're going through. I was shocked in 2016 when Trump took office over Hillary. But it's been an odyssey since then. We may not all reach the same conclusions. But discourse has lost the language of generosity as evidenced by the condescending nature of some posts on here. Whether that be abortion, economy, immigration.

I just hope the Democrats are asking the very same questions you are, and to self analyse why they lost a second time to Trump, because if the party doesn't shift its policy positions and messaging, then it'll likely be a similar result in 2028.

Anson County in North Carolina has a 40% black vote and Trump won that as only the second Republican to do it.
These are unprecedented, and it's those kinds of examples that would offer an insight into why a convicted sexual offender will be in the WhiteHouse on January 21.

It seems many vote for policy over person over there.
