God I'd forgotten it was that bad.

I still have nightmare about that Round 8 game. Surprised my tv survived that day.

We could go on a run and win them in a row!

I have spent a bit of time going through other team line ups this weekend and all the other teams who are rebuilding are hedging their bets a bit and recycling a lot of players from other teams (eg freo, Carlton, pies, Gold Coast, ....). I really like the fact we have pretty much gone all in on young talent. At some point it's all going to click and we are going to be scary good. I also like the fact we are exiting high cost older players to use that salary cap to lock in the young talent (eg exited Rocky, Pearce, Walker later this year then Basti .....etc). If the Brisbane Lions were a stock I would be buying up big time!

I don't believe for a second Walker is on a high salary (relative to AFL salaries).

Even though Walker's performances are up and down, I don't believe we should be rushing to de-list him. Not until we can relay on Ballenden, Payne and Skinner.

It's amazing that there were any fans left after that year-that-is-best-forgotten.

Seem to remember my beer budget blew out massively that year

Man, that is some awful reading. I was at that Adelaide game of 177 - curse being married to a crows supporter ;)

The guys updating the old scoreboard suffered dehydration trying to keep up with the crows score.

If you think were not improving watch a few of those games on replay

At 25 years old I can't see why we would consider delisting Walker... he's probably only now reaching an age where typical forwards start to figure it out.

I reckon there's still a big upside to him especially around the ground. There's plenty of time for him to prove his worth

If this is a complete domination, the positive is that I won’t be able to watch it!

Hopefully after we completely dominate the Giants you will be able to find it on you tube afterwards or somewhere! (hey it's the positive thread!)

Haven't been around for a little while so thought my first post back should be a couple of positives.

1) Hugh McCluggage is going to be a star of the competition in a few years.
2) The Gabba surface looks fantastic, certainly a lot better than when that cricket centric buffoon was in charge and only looked after the wicket block. Good riddance KMJr.

Good to have you back.

Been away on sebaticle?
Welcome back jp.

The backline is killing it.

They've had plenty of practice over the last few years.

But yes, they were good today.

Wonder if Fagan has adopted the Roos philosohy when he was coaching Melbourne?

Fix up the defensive structure first and build a team around it. Horrible to watch for a year or two but an investment in the future,

Our defensive structure is awful because the midfield lets us down but the back 6 are very good.

Roos' defensive structure was as many men behind the ball as possible.

Fagan isn't doing that so it's a lot more watchable.
