In no particular order-

1) Lachie Neale

2) Linc McCarthy (mark of the year contender)

3) Dan McStay gets an early "Joe the Goose" but later takes a great grab and calmly slots another goal from a tight-ish angle. What are these yips that people are on about?

3) Another ton up

4) Big O steps up again at another clutch moment.....and calmly slots the goal.

5) Hippy....oh ye of little faith

6) we are NEVER beaten

7) the Gabbatoir is back....the crowd noise in the last 10 minutes was insane.... the "Power!!!" ..... "Power"..... insurrection was drowned out and put in it's place ....and rightly so.

8) 3-0

9) my beer tasted particularly sweet after the game.

10) practice makes perfect......I think I screamed twice as much and twice as loud as the West Coat game but I'm only half as hoarse .

I could go on but won't

Beddy byes time

Our recruiting:

9/22 last night.

Paid peanuts for: Stef, McCarthy, Robbo, Walker, Hodge, Lyons, Bastinac

Paid unders for: Neale, Cameron

Nail our early picks + bring in blokes like those above = success.

(Bastinac probably the odd one out, but he's still playing a role.)

Maybe a slightly less obvious one, but while Rayner had a shocker, and Charlie the same except for about the last 10 minutes, their didn't stop with the pressure. Cameron's tackle in the forward pocket that led to Bag's snap goal, Rayner after missing his 4th? sitter chasing in to the pocket to cause a mis-kick. Last season players would have just dropped their head by that point of the game but not this season.

Easter Thursday ticket sales looking awesome! GA sold out. Very impressed to see basically backish rows only available in the currently released sections. Still plenty of tickets once they open all of the usual closed off bays. Very real chance of a sellout at the current pace.

Interesting most said we overpaid for these guys at the time, particularly Charlie.
I remember people saying Nobes had a reputation for paying overs for players at the Crows.
Just look at where he took them before he left, where we are now and where they are now.
Can we please put to bed this crap about him overpaying?

Walked past a bloke wearing his Lions shorts in my London gym yesterday.

Gave him a slight knowing nod of approval.. in a non-weird, just two blokes passing each other by the thigh adductor machine kinda way.

The lid may not yet be off, too cold for that, but we’re coming out of hibernation.

I need to find a gif representative of this :D

A few on here were going mental IIRC

With Martin now suspended and Mitchell injured for the entire season, Neale has a very real possibility of winning the Brownlow.
Players to watch out for:
Dangerfield
Cripps
Fyfe
Sidebottom

Fyfe looked really bad after his concussion last game. His legs were wandering as he was being assisted from the ground so it wouldn’t surprise me if he has a rest for a week or two.

Then again it’s afl so he might be back at training already.

Who knows if he can keep it up, but Daniel Rich is currently equal tenth in the AFLCA votes.

I’m chuffed for him- he’s carried the weight of unfulfilled expectation for a long time.
He is often one of the first to cop it when not at his best, sometimes deserved as he can be inconsistent, but it is so good to see him doing well.

Yep, happy to admit he has been one of my go to whipping boys over the years, I'm over the moon that Richy is in fantastic form (was for most of last year as well) and I was wrong with my thought of trading him out.

He doesn’t just seem more consistent either, he has elevated his game. A few times this year I’ve said to wifey gee Rich was good there. He’s been harder at it, has put his body on the line, seems to have found time and his skills have moved up a notch.
