No St Kilda and the Bulldogs have both recently managed to go deep into September over number of seasons, Richmond have done nothing for the best part of 20 years.

I'm not too concerned about Collingwoods current position, several times the last decade we have had a slide down the ladder forecast yet over that time we have managed to consistently make the 8 (or the top 4) and play deep into September. Better than that, we have also tasted ultimate success in that period. This is largely because we are a well resourced and well run football club which is the major difference between the top tier vic clubs - Collingwood, Hawthorn, Geelong, and the mid tier clubs such as Richmond, Essendon and Carlton.

I am still amazed at the Richmond supporters itt suggesting that in making finals this season they have actually achieved something. Does it get any more defeatist than that? I believe this is what people mean when they talk about a losing culture.

So Collingwood will be replacing Buckley this year then, as at this stage you are below a club that will have done nothing, worse than nothing would surely require a change in coach?

After all you wouldn't want to further the losing culture you are currently developing now would you?

Noone smart considered Hawthorn as favourites. Sydney and Geelong are the proven champions. Hawthorn have all the talent in the world and no heart. Any good team (and as crazy as it sounds yes Richmond is a good team now) that has a go can beat them.

Richmond will need to beat actual champion teams twice between now and GF day. Much tougher ask than beating Hawthorn.

Well we do have the score on the board against the Swans at the 'G though, so you never know, I will be happy that we keep improving the rest is just a bonus.
