I don't mind the ribbon removal personally. A bit too 19th C for me. This is the age of the 5mm² screen avatar.

Love the Suns new logo. Not too busy, contemporary, easily applied, simple but with plenty of reference and meaning.

I wasn't nervous about our 'rebrand' until I had a look back at how awful just about every other club redesign has been in recent memory. Something about modern design just doesn't seem to 'fit' with footy. Maybe because I have a background in graphic design I'm just easily triggered, but I just hope we don't go full Deadpool & Wolverine like this mob

I know what you mean, it does come across as a white collar consultancy logo, rather than a football one.

But that's why we should be okay with our crest. It's quintessential sport, think historical soccer clubs, etc. Surely it can't be butchered like this.

I think the Suns rebrand looks like a 1970s TV station logo. I like it, but it's hardly modern.

New logos are always terrible, but the Suns logo gives me hope that somewhere out there, exists a graphic designer who doesn’t suck.

Modern logo design leaves a lot to be desired. The classic look will always look good

I'm cautiously optimistic we won't f*ck ours up given we nailed the 150th logo.

If our logo is more than 20% different than the current logo it will fail. You can drop the ribbon, change the STKFC and clean up the outlines but you cannot change much else.

It looks like they're keeping the shape which indicates it will be the same as the current design or possibly the tri panel in place of the cross?
