What's wrong with St Kilda pier that it needs $54 million spent on it? The structure seems sound, there's a rustic cafe up the end that is perfectly serviceable though overpriced like most restaurants and bars in the St Kilda area. Then there's the rock walls housing the penguins and the rats, and the mini marina, both of which provide a diversion from blowing your money on expensive wines watching a mediocre sunset from your stool. You won't get a 'like' from me for seeking to waste money redeveloping something that is doing just fine as it is!
So there's no point inquiring about your trip. We will know not to ask next time you slope off to distant shores.Beautiful.. my 4th visit.. and still lost for words.
Looking at the posts that have been pruned, I think yours might be next for the chop. Perhaps jobe54 had a valid point after all despite not liking my walking man comment.I hope you reconsider @jonbe54 and remain on BF. You appear to be of the same vintage as me and, from reading your posts, it seems we share similar views on footy and life in general.
Sometimes your posts can be taken as a tad confronting and aggressive, so maybe sleep on them as drafts for 24 hours before sending?
Anyway please stay as the board needs diversity of views.
Why would my post be deleted by the mods GG? It wasn't offensive and merely expressed support for another poster and offered some advice.Looking at the posts that have been pruned, I think yours might be next for the chop. Because the post you quoted has been deleted along with my response and the responses to that response. Maybe off topic posts are being deleted given it’s a training thread. Our current conversation will also be deleted so enjoy it while it lasts. The Gimps posts and its replies should also go if irrelevance is the reason. Why would my post be deleted by the mods GG? Cheers for the explanation GG. That makes sense, although I would have thought the issues we were discussing are still important, although not directly relevant to the thread topic.Because the post you quoted has been deleted along with my response and the responses to that response. probably Coronavirus.Does anyone know what is actually wrong with Appleby? He seems to have been out of commission for a while. I fear we are covering up a pony-related injury or perhaps even fatality. I find it significant that his name has a pony-relevant attraction, and we have no players with names including Carrots or Sugarcubes or Sarah Jessica Parker.
On another unrelated note Clokey the Pony Lover is at the club.
Coincidence?
I'm not saying anything, I'm just asking questions.

Am I a nuisance account ScoeyDiversity of views is essential or this place becomes chronically boring. The problem is Jon goes hard and has become pretty indiscriminate between ball and man recently...
The broader issue is the amount of long time posters we’re losing who seem to be getting replaced by nuisance accounts. They’re the ones that really deserve the treatment, but the problem is the long standing posters are less inclined to use the report function because they’re more accustomed to the banter. That’s my two cents anyway.
Most likely. Would be a mixture of both I’d assume. The art is meant to do wonders for mental health. He was pretty open and honest but obviously not completely as he wouldn’t want everyone knowing.I thought the problems were mental rather than physical. It sounds like he has had enough.
I'm fine Good Horse, just having a nice restful summer. Thanks for askingDoes anyone know what is actually wrong with Appleby? He seems to have been out of commission for a while. Teams wised up to our midfield. Our advantage was slick hands to get the ball clear. When we got the ball, teams were over committing tacklers, leaving someone free to dish off to. Teams have realised that they don't need the second tackler, because we don't have the pace or power to break from congestion. Thus they're covering off outlets and the lone tackler wraps up the bloke with the footy.Yeah why the fu** can't we just move Steele back inside and work on getting games into another outside mid like TBrown or move Treloar there.

It certainly belongs here. It is training and that is what this thread is (supposed to be) about. Interesting to note that the carlton practice game is listed on the AFL site as 6 25 minute quarters (think that is what the article means). Get a look at more players in one go. I like it.Not sure if it belongs here, but we're playing a scratch match against Geelong at GMHBA on Thursday 13 February. This is in addition to the Carlton one confirmed yesterday.

Spot on...Sounds like we want to be absolutely 100% come round 1 to try and counter our tough fixture
Spot on...
