Did Lowe really sack Steven King this week?

Reported on sheehan's twitter feed last night.

If so, would like an explanation after all the fawning over his role at the Club this year.

There are plenty of stories the MSM wont run with because they can't corroborate it and clubs will just deny it anyway.

Again this isn't confirmed, but two posters who have a history of not making things up did post it yesterday and it fits with other rumours/leaks
Geez, Minson just can't keep his mouth shut over the journey. What would this be, the third or fourth time he's 'apparently' done this sort of thing?

this guy....if he was the conduit between senior management and the footy department... then he has failed abysmally and cost us our captain and our coach. And our credibility. I hope his position is examined closely....nah f@ck it - sack him
Barrett reported earlier that the entire football department is now under review. May be more casualties on top of Macca, and, seemingly, Lowe.

Hopefully this review is more extensive than the coaching review.

Exactly, and some somehow interpret this position as being a disciple of B-Mac.
We clearly have issues at the club that have nothing to do with the coach

Pretty much. I've found some of the "blind" Macca faith over the last couple of years a bit perplexing, but whatever sickness there is at the club goes far beyond one person.

This has all been very Richmond-like. A strong response would have been to back him in for 2015 and see what happens, regardless of my own reservations about him overall (which are and should be meaningless to their decision-making, of course ;)).

Macca going is not the end of this thread. No matter who is appointed coach there will be the likes of Ernie, Proff, MD and so on who will have a set against whoever is appointed, just the names will change.

I have already seen names such as Williams, Voss, Ayers, Worsfold, Ratten being degraded in this thread. All either premiership players or coaches who have had experience and would have learned from their past mistakes.

My opinion is we need experience preferably in the senior coaching position

Ayres would be ideal I think.

Shall I be loyal to Gordon who condemns gruff yesterday or the gordon who begged griff to stay
The Gordon who defended macca or the one who cast him a drift

Where was the call of unity for the last few months

Happy to challenge
If I had the income invest my life I would
And most nuffies would administer the club better than. This

Monumental day in the clubs history without doubt. That said can't help but see the positives, guaranteed blue chip trade opportunities, undeniable elite young talent already on the list, club able to pay 100% of salary cap for the first time since it's inception, elite facilities at both Woval and VU, beefed up spending in footy dept, what potential coach wouldn't be excited by the possibilities. Even Mick would feel a tingle, time to smell the roses people, our time is coming.

I don't barrack for a captain or a coach or a president, I want to see all the true doggies come together in a very difficult time at our club, there is no need for bashing of players or coaches, we need to band together to go forward, we are smack bang in the middle of a very important trade week and headed to a crucial draft.
There are enough outsiders enjoying this and taking cheap shots at the club, I hope we can all remind ourselves that there are more things that bring doggies fans together than tear us apart.
I barrack for the Western Bulldogs. I will always barrack for the doggies. The club is hurting, lets try be constructive in what we do and say.

Do we know this for sure? I know Gordon mentioned speaking to them however I didn't think he gave an indication to their thoughts.
Fair point - although if they were positive I doubt B-Mac would have been pushed/resigned

Just my opinion but we cannot afford to go for a rookie coach, especially someone like Bolton.

Apparently early on Macca was 'too nice & not mongrel enough' so Brendan 'always happy' Bolton would have no hope with our mob!

Exactly what I said, they're too alike, but I still believe he would a best fit. He has a 100% win record.
