I stood for the Boxing Day test last year and some nice boys let me wriggle up to the front, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see anything.

I was at Boxing Day last year as well, and stood for the majority of the day.
Managed to find a sneaky spot in the Southern Stand for an un-obstructed view.

This is what happens at the Carlton games. We stand every game and so do a fair few other Carlton supporters and they always leave a spot for her up the front so she can see.
MEB I'm not that much taller than you and I hate it when I have to stand to watch bands. Don't know if I could stand to watch the footy though, I would have to sit down at some stage.
I'm starting to feel like everyone on these boards are short.

You don't want to be 6'6'' on the hill at Adelaide. Went to watch the ashes last summer and spent the majority of the time being yelled at to sit down 
I usually stand at Etihad or the G a couple back from the fence in the standing areas and can see fine. Plus it's much easier to run to the bar!!
