Ohh well looks like the eagles are not an honorable bossTry that in another other field and see what the response is
"Hey new boss, my old boss said they'd double my income, plz honour it"
"Here's a $5k payrise"
"**** youuuuuuuuuU!!!!!!"
Do you always hold the wrong people to the promises of others?Ohh well looks like the eagles are not an honorable boss
they renege of their word
Misinformation in this thread? Never. The argument being pushed that the Eagles have somehow reneged on a deal is frankly stupid and only being pushed by idiots to somehow try and win some internet points.

Mate seriously you really expecting a transcript of the conversationWhat did we exactly regen on? Because it’s been said, and yet no one knows what that is. It’s already been said a number of times he was offered new terms.
Nowhere has it been written that we will pay the number barrass says and that’s it.
At end of day regen or not, he can’t leave without our permission. Thats all that matters here.
lol he almost left but Sydney didn’t have capital or salary? So he didn’t almost leave at all.
He is under contract and has no mechanism to leave on his own.
Two firsts is fair price for unsettling a player at another club, whom you are offering a long term deal near $1m per year.
It’s pretty simple. It will be west coast’s fair price. Not hawks fair price. You think port will get fair price for Houston that is determined by destination club?
Imagine Sicily leaving whilst in contract and fair price being determined by destination club. Imagine that!
Why are you arguing over giving up two firsts if you don't need the picks?Hawthorn don’t need the picks and Sicily doesn’t want to/need to leave a contending team.
These two things, despite Eagles fans not wanting to believe it, are factors.

He made an agreement against his managers advice because he trusted the people running the club and he got shafted
plain and simple
If you want evidence, then maybe request it from his manager
Hes trollingHow did he get shafted? What agreement did they not make.
It’s already been said an offer was made. He wanted more. We didn’t agree to pay him exactly what he wants.
Is that difficult to comprehend? Knock knock, anyone home?

Apparently we need the picks….and therefore have to accept low picks….
Hmmm that makes sense.
You know how this will work, if hawthorn don’t pony up, other melb clubs will be all over it, throwing everything in. Barrass will then either have to go back or go elsewhere.
At end of day, let’s not forget what this is about for barrass…$$$$$ and not anything about wanting to go to hawthorn.
It was Sydney, then dogs, then hawks…by end of trade week, could be anyone.

Not really.
One thing people fail to understand is that everyone is replaceable. There might be some short term pain but ultimately, you won't be missed all that much by your organisation.
Also, most companies don't employ people on set like contracts in the AFL. If they do, they get pretty shitty when employees try to break them.
Contract work is a 2-way street, something handwringers like you in this thread are choosing to ignore
It's the art of contract negotiation to promise the world and sign for the minimum. I cant believe his management let him sign on a wink and a nod. If it was an actual witnessed verbal agreement, it would count as a contract, and WCE could be sued for reneging on it- obviously it wasn't. Everyone at WCE loves Barrass but he has always had the dreamy eyes of an idealist, it was always going to end this way. Goodluck TBLOL
How did he get shafted ? seriously you must be living under a rock whilst spending your life reading this thread
Do we really need to explain how he got shafted
Already said an offer was made ? Yeah but not the offer that was agreed to by the previous bosses which promised him he would get what they agreed to then and he signed trusting their word
Yeah Knock Knock mate
get your head out of the sane your club SHAFTED him and they want him traded for the pick and its not even about the 100k a year or the extra year they want the pick - Its simple
Hey KNOCK !!! KNOCK
Just because you dont know their names doesnt mean they dont existEagles don’t need to accept anything they don’t want to.
Your list management team will do what it thinks is best.
But with Tassie coming in, and 1 decent player under 25 on your list, you might just be a little more desperate than normal.

Tasmania isn’t coming for next 3 drafts. Thats 25-30 players with or without barrass.
Oh 1 decent player hey? That shows how little you know of the team. I count at least 6 with one generational player. Which is one more than you have!

West Coast supporters obviously don't understand what the list management team are doing.. Barrass is contracted for 3 more years...... SO.... if they want to keep him (like Melbourne do with Petracca) he stays.... BUT west coast have decided they want the early pick instead so he's going and the hawks will pony up pick 13 + change
