Agree.

With no details about the allegations other than what is in the media, Dunkley "is confident Chris Fagan will be his coach at the Lions next year" and furthermore:

"He told the Herald Sun at the TAB Spring Racing launch that while Fagan could not go into details about the accusations from First Nations players about conduct in his time at Hawthorn, Dunkley believes will would coach the Lions next year.

“Fages was really good. He is really disappointed and everyone knows that. It’s been on the public record that he has been struggling with it, but he’s a great person and we didn’t talk too much about it. He just wanted to reassure me that he feels like he hasn’t done too much wrong and with the situation that is going on, it’s hard to talk about.

“It definitely didn’t make me second guess. Everyone has backed him in and all the news reports have backed him in, and from what I have had to do with him in such little time he’s such a good human being and he’s really cared for me, and I am looking forward to that relationship and getting up and meeting him.”

Josh Dunkley - the man with his finger on the pulse of current events. Maybe he could do a podcast about it.

Not only did he respond to the question he kept on talking about it. Josh, this is actually a serious situation with serious allegations that need to be tested. “All the news reports have backed him in”. Umm actually nobody has backed him in you imbecile, it needs to be investigated. Get the trade done Sam and send him on his way. If he wasn’t a good tackler maybe we’d be talking about him in the same realm as Mitchell and Hunter in the sense that the game is leaving behind accumulators who are slow and butcher the ball?

I mean seriously, if the media ask about the Hawthorn situation you just keep your mouth shut don’t you?

Blows my mind that anyone, particularly those associated with any of Hawthorn, North or Brisbane, are commenting/"backing them in" whilst the investigation is not yet complete. Absolutely nothing to gain from it.

Sure Clarkson and Fagan might finally be exonerated but it serves no purpose to jump the gun, worse so when you have skin in the game.

Lol

'Everything is gonna be okay' he says rocking back and forth...

Why does that quote from Dunkley remind me of those Tinder swindlers? 😂

'But they were so nice when I was messaging them, they said they lived on a yacht and had made millions on crypto...'

Brisbane are in the race for Jack Bowes and his massive short term deal.

From the eye you'd think if they were willing to stump up that much cap space for him they would for Treloar? Hehehe

Not sure how many times it needs to be said but we're not letting Brisbane gut our midfield.

Move on

Just shows a complete lack of world experience to me. To say the news reports have backed him in us just plain false.

Dunks was gone a long time ago.

As far as I am concerned he is now a Lions player and hope he dominates in the QAFL.

Get the best deal for him and move on.

There is a Greek saying that best describes Dunkley Tippa situation but it’s not fit for forums

To even go anywhere near the topic is mind-numbingly stupid. He's basically pre-judged him while throwing Fagan under the bus by saying Fagan thinks he's all good.

Funny stuff. Good luck Brisbane, you deserve each other.

Brisbane getting Bowes and the GC pick 7 would be good for us. Gives them more trade ammo and we could potentially get that pick and their future #1 and give them some picks back this year for their F/S bidding.

Yep exactly. Hasn’t even been traded there yet and he’s putting the coach in a poor position.

Bowes & 7 and a bunch of their later picks for their 15 and future picks. Then 7 for Dunkley. Could be worse but it allows a chance at busslinger/phillipou before port does.

Have the people who are bagging out Hunter now never been a fan?

He’s never been a great kick.
He’s never been quick.
He’s never been a good set shot.

He has always been the clubs fittest runner.
He has always been the best defensive runner in our midfield.
He’s always been a great mark for his size.
He’s always been a great accumulator.

If it’s for off field stuff that people want him gone that’s cool, I’m not gonna pretend to know what happening like most do. But maybe we should focus on what a player does offer instead of what he doesn’t? You can’t have a team of 22 Marcus Bontempelli’s.
Well said.
May I add he has also always been an intelligent footballer.
Ha has always been a great on field leader.

If Brisbane can somehow contrive to get both Bowes and Dunkley into their salary cap, I would happily take 7 for Dunkley. Going into the draft with 7 and 11 (or 7 and 13 if we trade down to Freo's pick) would be amazing.
